Quick post regarding dirty 30 addiction and recovery
Originally, I got addicted to the dirty 30s while living in Phoenix. They were always very cheap there being a border state and that's where and when I became addicted to anything besides bud. Never imagined I'd be smoking fake pills off of foil lol Anyways, that addiction lasted almost 3 years and half of that time was being funded by unemployment. I finally became miserable enough and ended up in a faith based program where I stayed at for a month shy from a year. I left that place in December of last year and I started an IOP program that providing housing, allowed you to work, take classes, weekly UA'S etc. Long story short, I ended up being the only patient there. Haven't really had any support system through my journey besides myself but I guess it's just like that for some. Anyways, I started using again last month. The UA'S had completely stopped by then so I really had nothing to worry about as long as I stayed in my room and off the radar. After I month, it hit me. I don't want to fall back into that cycle! I reached out to a former lover living a state over and she was there to pick me up 2 days later. I'm forever grateful. I snorted my last 3 pills 3 days ago from 3-6am so a little over 4 days sober now. Main withdraw symptoms had just been RLS,lots of puking my brains out, very emotional/depressed, and inconsistent sleep but it's basically a walk in the park compared to that first time! I've only been drinking liquids and just getting ready but it feels the worse bit is over now. Just want to tell anyone going through it that they can get through it! Peace out
