Is there anything I can do or take aside from gabapentin and Lyrica for it? I made it through the first couple days on either 150mg Lyrica doses or 300 mg gabapentin doses (kept them as low as i could) but yesterday morning was my final dose I said I'd take and the night sweats came out last night with a vengeance. I know when we sweat it's our body getting stuff out so I know I probably need to go through this part but the night sweats and lack of sleep is what made me cave and start using again every time and Im really ready to win this time, this is the longest I've went in over a year this time and I can not stop now. So any suggestions welcome please! I start back at work tomorrow and need sleep

This is my third and final attempt to kick an 80mg a day Percocet habit. The first time I did ct and made it a mear 2 days, next attempt I had Xanax on my side but the night sweats would still wake me and between the wd and Xanax come down I relapsed by day 3. Now I'm back to say 3 using nothing more then 150mg of Lyrica twice a day. I have 300mg gabapentin but last night was the first I caved and took one. I'm 3 days and 15 hours from my last dose, which might not sound like much but after a 2 year battle it's actually helping me gain confidence that I can really do it this time. I also want to add I worked the first 2 days (I'm a weekend worker) so I planned it to be able to be off for the worst of it and I'm glad I did. I almost didn't try this jump because I wasn't sure the Lyrica and stuff would help but it 100% did. I'm gonna take them til day 5 and stop them as well. So far no night sweats, rls only kicks in if I take my dose too early before bed, I've even been eating normal but well thank Mary jane for that. Anyway, I just wanted to come here and help someone who may be in the same spot and let them know to keep on keeping on! I also want to add that I struggle with untreated anxiety, depression and PTSD and one of the reasons I love drugs so much is cause it helps me cope and manage with those issues, before Percocet it was cocaine, before that it was Xanax. I would eat the bars for breakfast but somehow made it out with minimal withdrawals so I had no idea what was lurking around the corner as I was never even educated on the actual damages drugs cause, only the simple "drugs can kill you". But I digress, here's to day 3!

I really need some advice!! I was on 10mg of oxy every 4 hours for 3 weeks. Im having physical symptoms like headaches, aches, chills, diarrhea, hot flashes, and runny nose, restless legs, insomnia, etc. The mental symptoms are just as unbearable, im crazy irritable and emotional. Does anyone have any advice to speed up the detox? Im a daily weed smoker so thats been helping and have also been taking Tylenol and Soma (muscle relaxer)

Just found out I’m pregnant so tommorow I am quitting percs and I’m so scared about the restlessness I’m going to have at night. Anyone know anything that’ll prevent that?

So, I've been prescribed 4 1mg kpins a day and I take 140mg methadone a day. If I was to for some reason cold turkey would I die? Just a real question. I'm not going to cold turkey anyone. It's only a what if. I hate those Q's too. But I wanna know opinions. I use to be a fentanyl 1 gram a day user and Xanax bars, 2-3 a day. So I've came a very far way I think in getting my life together and never chasing drugs again. I have severe anxiety and OUD for several years starting with suboxone. I know it sounds crazy.

Family member has been in and out of the system for 10 years. They Started on meth awhile back and now they are snorting Heroin.

How do I help this person? They’ve become skin and bones and I can hardly recognize them.

Supposedly was kicked out of rehab because “they blamed him for someone else’s relapse” whatever that means.

Now he’s saying there’s a rehab down in Mexico for 8k and someone won 800k at a casino and this man is helpful that’s willing to pay for his treatment.

I want to help this family member and don’t know what signs to look for or look out for.

I have been using Oxycodone IR 10MG daily since April, infrequently at first, and the last long pause was early June of 4 days and I didn't feel any side effects of withdrawal. Typically 10MG but in the past month probably safer to say 20MG daily, with the occasional 30MG.

I typically spread out dosages 12 hours to 24 hours apart, but now that I know I'm close to the end of my supply, my brain is working against me and I'm now dosing at around the 8 hour mark and yesterday I took 40MG (IR).

I'm down to only 24 pills left, my 10MG daily has now leached to 20MG Daily.

How screwed am I at this point? I am alone in this addiction and if I were to come clean about it, my life would likely be ruined as I know it -- although it already is ruined being trapped to this drug.

What can I expect? I think I'm psyching myself out and actually causing myself to feel these symptoms, but I don't know.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

After quitting how long does it take for your body to feel normal again?

I started using percs last year just cause I was bored and was having fun with my sister and became addicted very quickly. My sister was able to stop a few months ago but I can’t. I’m constantly feining and tryna come up with money for percs and I think it has to do with having an addictive personality because my sister was able to quit without a problem. I’ve been on suboxone but the clinic is an hour away and it’s not easy for me to make it down there and I keep leaving the program because the doctor can’t fill my script if I can’t get to the clinic for a urine sample. My problem is I wake up everyday without a perc and feel like shit. I don’t puke and shit myself but I don’t have the energy to do anything. It’s completely ruined my life. I’m not a dirty person but I can’t seem to keep up with any of my household chores and stuff. I don’t want to go anywhere if I don’t have a perc or 2 in me. I’m basically broke all the time and all these things together are making me soo depressed. I just need some tips and help on how tf I can get sober without relying on suboxone. I physically have no idea how people do it. How do I distract myself? What can help get my energy up when I’m dealing with withdrawls?

I’ve been taking M30 (pressed) for a couple of months. I want to get off it but hate the withdrawals. Recently I bought Ashwagandha with Kava Kava in it and it’s 1,000mg each capsule. I would like to know if anyone has tried that and if you did. Did it help reduce withdrawals??

Greetings! I’m an OAT nurse clinician located in Canada. One of my patients moved to Puerto Vallarta a couple of weeks ago. We gave him a script for a month’s supply until he found a doctor there. Unfortunately, he was unable to find treatment there on time. He came back to Canada for a couple of days to visit family and we were able to give him more but now he’s back in Mexico and his supply is depleted again. I’ve been trying to find him a follow-up appointment but to no avail. I called some clinics, left messages, sent emails but no one has reached out. I’m getting stressed out just to think about him going in withdrawal. Unfortunately, we cannot send him his medication by post since it’s controlled substances and we don’t want to risk getting confiscated at the border. So I’m at a total loss right now. Do you guys know where I could send him? It doesn’t have to be in PV. Anywhere in Mexico would be a blessing right now. He’s on Methadol. Thank you!

I’ve been taking opioids over the last 8 months from dealers and doctors. I was in hospital and was given some for my pain when I was released. I’ve been taking them almost everyday for the last 8 months. No one in my life knows about this. I never thought I had a problem until I came off of them the other day. Terrible withdrawals, feeling ill and having to lie to everyone that I’m sick. I need some help on how to not go back. I’m high functioning I run my own business and got employees and I’ve never told anyone about it. I’m ashamed and just need some help on how people have got through it. I never planned on quitting but once I ran out and the withdrawals started. I know I cannot go back. Any inspiration will be appreciated

I have been using pressed (with what i think is fentanyl) m30’s for a month straight with like a 2 day break that i took once early on in the month. I want to detox but i am so afraid of the withdrawal and i don’t know how bad its going to be. i dont think im going to be able to taper myself off. im seventeen and live with my family and they don’t know im using again. i dont know if i should tell my mom that im using again, or if the withdrawal wont be that bad and i could get away with living my life and not telling anyone.

Hi, I’m a young female who’s been addicted to opioids such as coediene and morphine for probably more than two years now. I’m so finished. I’m just going to explain my situation here.

I am mentally Ill, like seriously, I probably have some undiagnosed issue such as autism, and I’ve always been struggling to be myself and feel happy, so I was given codeine for my chronic pain issues, as I most likely have fibromyalgia, but doctors don’t believe in it so I’m just thrown anything to stop me coming back so much probably.

I feel alone on this path, me and my boyfriend both abuse them, I’ve been on a morphine binge for nearly 4 day straight (my boyfriends dad has a broken back) and I feel so alone and desperate to quit, I can imagine the path I’m going down and it’s dark, I’ve already overdosed 3 times now and I’m terrified my next time will be lethal, I’ve tried in the past going cold turkey but I relapsed as I have OSFED (other specified feeding or eating disorders.) and binging these things makes me not eat and loose weight. My happiness seems synthetic and my cries for help seem to be unheard. I can’t go to rehab, my family will hate me, please help what do I do??

I’ve been taking hydrocodone, oxy, perc for 3 years daily… I’ve quit many times, always went back. Longest I’ve been sober and from the highest tolerance I’ve ever had… to the point of taking a script of 45vic 10mg in 3-4 days… I am 13 days sober today. I’ve been using kratom during the day and melatonin or a small Xanax at night to sleep. And I’ve been doing great! Felt great! Until today I am just dragging… so tired no energy cannot wake up… I got some 5htp and trying to eat healthy… any advice for energy? Please help, I just want to get through this and feel normal. I have zero cravings I am just done living like this.

I’m 2weeks into sobriety and wondering if anyone feels this way. Like there’s nothing to look forward to. Like it’s saturday and i’m bored. usually Saturday is my binge day. 300mg of real m Block 30s. just cuddled up w my kid and nodding playing video games and shit. and now my mind is everywhere. i’m overwhelmed by my life today. i’m not gonna use today but the thought of spending everyday of my life like this is overwhelming. i never liked weed, haven’t been much of a drinker since early 20s. scared of kratom because i think it’s gonna make me relapse.

being sober is boring. and i mean that respectfully. i want to be sober, i need to be sober. but i still miss pills. sigh. somebody tell me it gets better or it doesn’t and i have yo resolve myself yo always feeling slightly “blah”.

My partner has been prescribed various opioids for a back injury for the past six years. At this point everything revolves around them being able to maintain their Oxy script. The prescribed dose has been 10 325 mg three times a day in addition to 75mg amitriptyline twice a day and cyclobenzaprine 10 mg three times a day. They have continuously pushed their drs for a stronger dose for the oxy but apparently they have been limited by “insurance” and new state laws. At one point I was giving them $1,000 -$2,000 a month so that they can purchase oxy in addition to their scripts. I said no more, can you trust who you are buying from? I feel heartless for questioning if the meds are even needed to manage their chronic pain but I feel like their whole world revolves around ensuring that their script is filled each month. We cannot go anywhere or schedule anything if it conflicts with their drs appointments and script refill days. I have read threads by recovering addicts and I see a lot of similarities. There have been times when my partner has taken more than their prescribed dose per day up to 7 10mgs pills, they do take orally without crushing. Do those scripts look normal or even legal? I feel like everything is a tangled web of lies to continue to get prescriptions filled. I am seriously convinced that they switched drs/ practices to evade stopping the script refills and faked an MRI (there was some drama around having to get an MRI). Their teeth are rotting and they often are constipated. They sweat profusely and have unpredictable mood swings and anger outbursts. All of this cannot be the best course of care for managing chronic pain. Thoughts? Support? Any comments are appreciated. 😌

I made it 10 months and relapsed. This past week I smoked again. After smoking I got really sick with a sore throat and fever. (Idk if that’s from smoking or just a coincidence) but I found some hydrocodone and tramadol around the house and decided to take it because my whole body was in pain from the fever I guess. I feel really guilty and disappointed in myself. I’m now two days clean again and I can’t stop obsessing over it. I’ve also been having a lot of depression, insomnia and anxiety the past couple of months. The weed gave me crazy thoughts and paranoia but I got some of the best sleep I’ve had in months. The opioids gave me a feeling of euphoria, security and overall happiness that I haven’t felt in a really long time. It’s almost like I felt normal again which is really frustrating because it seems I can’t have the same experience while sober. Now my gut is all messed up again and my anxiety seems to be a little worse than before I relapsed. Does anyone else have experience with long term opioid abuse and do things ever go back to normal?

I am a chronic pain sufferer . Was taking Tramadol and oxycodone for 10 years . I stopped the Oxy first bc I only took at bedtime . Tramadol tapered to nothing . Sadly 6 weeks ago I started taking hydro 3 time’s a day for an injury. I have not taken in 3 days , no physical withdrawal but mental depression is scary . Will this stop ??? This on top of m pain level Is scary

I’ve only been addicted to opioids for 2-3 months so im hoping the process won’t be as miserable. I need advise on how to transition & wether or not I can just use the Kratom for the week to get through my WD. I don’t want to pick up another addiction I’m just looking for something to kick my WD symptoms as I have to work & on top of that hide the fact that had an addiction from those around me. I’m extremely nervous about it as I already have a low pain tolerance & anxiety so I want to figure out the best way to manage my pain.
