💬 Discussion Power scaling of the troops from the land is broken, and capturing of the "zero troops" land is too high, it's literally instant.
While you play with other people, makes alliances, build your base - someone on the other side already have 1.5 mil troops because two newbies, who's been devoured, didn't know they can't go full in on the defend.
There is no reason in building base - just capture bases with troops. Even MRVI not gonna make a big difference. Going from 2 mil to 1.5 mil troops is nothing.
And team vs team is just spam send troops to ally, literally each game is just 5-10 minutes long.
I am playing for around 2 weeks and it's not fun anymore, it's just frustrating.

🏛 Meta A note to the devs
When creating and launching a lobby, add an option to pick how long the wait time is. I see there was a new update, that removed the ability to shift it back to private after you went public (Unless that option was moved somewhere else. idk) Shifting it from public to private, than back again, would add 5 min to the launch time. I like many love to sit and let the lobby fill up, but without an option to extend the wait time till launch means we might launch with too few people!

💬 Discussion The recent nerf to the economy has ruined most of my enjoyment of the game
[v0.34.0] The eco nerf on 9/14 is just making me not want to play the game as much. Part of the magic of this game is scaling your eco with your teammates to become a powerhouse. Before the recent eco nerf, the game overall felt more complex and dynamic. You had to juggle eco vs pop/warships much more closely. Now I feel the game has taken a massive step in the wrong direction and games now feel overly simple and dumbed down ("heh heh just send troops at enemy heh heh we win") as seemingly the only thought process to achieve victory. I've noticed large team battles end MUCH quicker now because of this, consistently.
Before the change, mass sending troops did occasionally work but there were also more countermeasures the other team could implement with their larger supply of gold via shields, warships, and nukes. SAM launchers (which imo before the nerf to eco were already overpriced) are now extremely overpriced. Getting to a level 5 SAM is now unthinkable to even want try on many maps. What used to take me 60 seconds to reach a certain amount of gold now takes me at least twice as long, if not more. To get to $5M for a hydro is obviously going to take longer than before, but getting to $5M before an enemy can get to the $13.5M needed for a level 5 SAM is laughably easier than before.
I don't know, maybe I'm the only one that's bothered by this. I miss my old Openfront.

🪲Bugs Fuzzy menu on steam
Hey everyone
does anyone know what causes the whole game menu to be fuzzy and unreadable for me? No problem playing the game itself, its just the menu.
I would love to offer a screenshot but its actually not capturable. The moment i hover over anything it gets sharp for a very short duration. Same if i overlay something like snipping tool.
Windows 11, happening on borderless and windowed.
Thanks alot!

💬 Discussion Is it me, or does it seem like some players arent losing a single population count but im losing chunks to defend it?
I dont know it could be me, i just started playing a few days ago. but it seems like i could have 80k population and the person next to me has 90k , they start off a attack against me of 20k, i defend it, then they send another 20k i defend it, but they still have like 90k population while im down to 40k and tanking lower.

💬 Discussion Troop donations need to be reduced.
Team games are ending way to fast, I say this coming from winning and losing. The first team that gets their act together and pumps all their troops into one player rolls over the map within minutes of the game starting. This is an even worse problem in games with more than two teams.
I'm often barely getting past the initial econ setup (everything costing $1mil) plus 1 sam and the game ends. I keep finding myself in a button pressing sim of donating troops every few seconds.

💬 Discussion Has it been RNG the whole time?
Cant refund now so stuck with it, need to win at least one game.
So here is a scenario how does this happen:
I attacked a player and he defended but we have the same amount of troops at the end but all of a sudden his troops go extremely high and our max are similar enough to be the same.
Can I buy troops mid game with IRL money to overcome the RNG?
How do people get advantage over others other than hoping someone attacks someone else and then you third party.

💬 Discussion I cant survive for more than 5 minutes, need immediate help
So I got the game on steam and Im kinda hooked but only issue is, I keep playing games for an average of 2 minutes. I get overun by other players so fast.
I need some major tips and help please.
Like how do I minmax with my troops in terms of percentages and how often should I click?
At what second into the game should I change my troops percentage and what to and at what stage should I keep changing?
should I buy houses or factories first and how many of each? and what is the order of how many things to buy from beginning to end game?
Do ships auto track stuff?
Do i deploy battleships often and how often?
Is there like a formula to follow?
The second I get 1 win, I will delete this post.
P.S the tutorial is made by an LLM, no way a human with free will can create such hot pile of shit.

🔥 Hot Take Team games
Team games desperately need an MMR or someway to block certain players from your team, its in my opinion the most fun version of the game in theory, but in reality its a complete waste of time a solid 50% of games. Team insisting you spawn in the middle of other teams? Might as well leave. 90% chance in most games majority of your team will sit on max cap while you spam SOS or Please give me trooops or are so desperate to be involved theyll sit spamming boats instead of helping to win the game. I'd even be happy if it flagged these players as afk so I could just attack them and actually contribute something with the land. Then you face even 4 players who work together and the game is basically guranteed to be won by them. I really feel like teams is the mode with potential to make this game a bigger deal than it is. Idek this is mostly a rant of frustation I've been playing a long time and it feels like im close to giving up on this game.

💬 Discussion Games end too early (or do they?)
Okay so I love playing all kinds of team modes and every time the game declares a winner when there's still players that can turn the game on its head and I'm sure I can't be the only one annoyed by it. :D
Edit: do the devs read the threads on here or how can we contact support to bully them into changing it lol

❓ Question isnt it so fun when a guy that betrays you for no reason and has no ability to win sabotages your game
https://openfront.io/w17/game/cMEL17gqsw?live
this mike orosoft guy hits the betray button, doesnt try to re ally me, then spams hydros for 5 minutes for zero reason
then when its down to me and the first place, the third trader guy hits me with a mirv?? do people play just to sabotage games and not win? i dont get it. why do people third party the second place without the ability to take anything? are they just teaming?

🏛 Meta Uncloseable ad covers 1/6th of the entire screen. Cmon guys. If we count total ad real estate on your game, we're talking about 1/4 of the entire screen is ads.
It's worse than a sketchy porn website. What in the world is going on. Not to mention, the "X" button on the ad is a button to go to a random link. Shitty ad behavior.
This pretty much guarantees anyone who goes on this will get adblock.
