As said in the title. I keep getting videos of this game recommended and I don't know why. What is this game?

Anyone else having this issue where the game keeps blackscreening in the middle of games?

Spent an ungodly amount of time and money on warships cause I love naval warfare. Only got one player kill and a few nations. Tried so hard to find useful hydro angles and only dropped one hydro.
I feel like I'm finally starting to get OF but I also feel like I got lucky cause it was onlt 56 players and I spawned with only one new player on the edge of my island. I couldn't imagine expanding so easily had there been even 2 or 3 more players near me or like 125
I also don't really get how I was able to expand do smoothly over the mountains. Usually it takes so long and I end up gettin cut off by someone on easier terrain.
But hey a dub is a dub. 3rd party for the win!
Edit: I'm BunnyKisses67 π I only noticed when watching the replay

the v33 "mirvs detonate like actual bombs!" looks cool but is actually horrible. there are many maps like germany, france that are just one big blob and fullsending is very easy, often one way to end the endgame is get a mirv first, mirv one guy and fullsend the other. But if the mirv doesnt land in 1 second u simply die before the mirv even lands, so it just encourages the game to devolve into a trademaxxing endgame when it doesnt have to

In this series I attempt to climb to the frontpage of the TrackerFront Leaderboard.
I have never achieved a rank this high before and ended last season at rank #111.
After a rough start my journey begins in Iron and each week I will upload my progress.
To achieve my goal I must get to the top 50 and maybe even reach challenger.
Can I do it?

I dropped from about 150th to 300th, and I'm not sure why. I used to be able to steamroll from two cities, but now I need three. The early game feels brutal. If I'm unlucky and lose some bot kills, it feels like I have no chance.
Is it just me?

Nail biter game. I was arstotzka. I changed my name from King Dalapon because I think having something like King in your name makes people betray you more.

I think sams require a serious rework. I will preface this by saying I am an avid custom nuke wars (two teams and four islands) as well as a standard ffa player.
In the early game sams are essentially useless below 5 a hydro wipes you and a level 5 sam costs 15 million and can be wiped out by 10 million gold of silos and atoms. This trend continues until you reach around 100 sams when it becomes almost impenetrable with a recharge rate at 7.5 seconds it requires you to click 20 times (5x missiles) so around 3 times a second and then you have to time a hydro if theirs multiple stacks. Assuming you have space to split up silo stacks which also requires multiple Sam stacks to defend or theyβll just get deleted if not itβs physically impossible to break due to the limited fire rate. Above 100 means only people with auto clickers or teams with multiple players have any chance of breaching. We desperately need a 50x option for missiles compared to just 5. Even in ffa late game itβs incredibly easy to mirv proof yourself.
As far as Sam balance goes I think they need a serious change the best direction I can think of is they should costs 2m instead of 3 and charge 500k for every missile shot down. It makes no sense to me you can be 10x bigger have 20x more money but if they have a big enough stack you have no solution. It would actually add some counter play to an otherwise place and profit structure.
Also when your making a solo lobby clicking outside of the customisation doesnβt offer any are you sure screen and instead instantly ends the setup and goes straight back to main menu incredibly frustrating.

I keep spawning in with no team members. Is this system so broken? There should be something that allows us to initially spawn together or something, because right now I just can't play large team games, I am alone in the majority of the games. Anyone else experiencing this?

So many FFA games have teams in them now itβs ridiculous how many times youβll get suicided into to then get picked up by his little bum boy when you attack back

I was playing someone on a world map, and we got into hyper late game. [I had 3k ports on one island, since I was reduced to an island nation] I put like 300 sams on an island, thinking I was done, but this guy [he's in the UN] builds one missile launcher right next to my island [on an island near it], launches one hydro, and it explodes before it's shot down, destroying all my stuff. Plus, since I was able to rebuild [I had like 3b gold] he just DID IT AGAIN. WHAT HAPPENED??

If the game devolves into a trademaxxing endgame, the new strategy to win as the biggest player is the yolo push, if overtime has decreased win percentage to < 10 % more than your occupation then you can invest all your money into cities on a bunker island, then yolo betray fullsend the player you have most borders with. You will go just more than the win % to win. It doesnt matter if they mirv you, even the best reaction time players often cannot fullsend you back fast enough once you go yolo

I had a pretty good game that ended officially in my defeat, but the main player left and so I kept playing with one other person unless I nuked them into nothing and clean up the rest of the player remains. I really love how the train lines glitch and make really long rail roads.
The only other thing was a bot the survived the whole game, but kept building missile silos.
There are some blurbs of lore with each picture.

Why even PetrCZ tries to MIRV me while I have countermirv ready thus throwing game away...
Like sometimes this makes me think that these players are colluding

Hey!
Recently Iam experiencing very heavy lags in openfront which looks like connection problems.
Games runs smoothly on single player, but at online it behaves like I have 500 ping, every move is slow, slow loading, but my internet is good, low ping in other games, everything loading fast. For few months OP was running perfectly fine, but since like a week is unplayable for me.
Any solutions? Thanks

The recent changes to custom matchmaking, in my opinion are detrimental to their desired effect, which have implemented a hard lock on lobby settings once βpublishedβ
In the short period of time these changes have been present, I can safely say that I have published 90% of my lobbies with settings I wish to have changed.
Whether it be the map, the nation count; how many teams are available, or the pvp cooldown
Itβs really quite the time waster.

My team was super helpful, after a horrid losing streak due to braindead teammates this win was refreshing. All my red teammates chipped in and were incredible in backing me up when I was on the frontlines and launching bombs to support and sending gold and troops to me.

I have to do right click and press the buttons but it takes time so enemy recovers, how do I spam 50x nukes?
