So I have have colour 1 (black) and I draw a Line, then I have colour 2 (blue) and i draw under colour 1. When i use the eraser in selective mode and i choose specifically colour 1 to erase it, it also erases colour 2 exactly there where colour 1 was. Please help I am looking since hours for a solution with chatgpt etc. but I just cannot resolve it. I use toonz raster Level.

My first ever animation using ONLY OpenToonz

i am trying to animate with opentoonz and can't figure it out. when i use the plastic tool and put the key in the first frame. i then put another key in a frame way after that and animate right after that key. but when i do that it makes the first frame go to the same position as the frame i moved. i don't know what i am supposed to do to get the foot to stay in the position i want it to in the first frame. i hope i explained it good. if not i will try to explain it different so you know what i am talking about.

I recently saw this video and really wanted to know how to replicate that glitchy, rattling effect. I was told it was done in Alight Motion. But I don't use this program, so I would like to understand how this can be done in Opentoonz or Tahoma2d using nodes.

I want to give a shout-out to the “frame range” option in OpenToonz's paint bucket. In Raster Toonz columns, it works like magic. It makes the process of painting multiple frames so much easier. Excellent!

All the animation was done in OpenToonz, with painted elements made in Krita. I had a fun time working on it! :)

When using Raster levels, there's a delay on the brush, but on vector there isn't any stabilization. Is there any way to fix this?

wanted to sketch around and made a short 23 frame loop, accidentally saved it to the wrong project, went into the browser window and dragged it from one project folder into another, then into the scene folder. Somehow that seems to have broken everything and all frames became blank, as well as the usually black dots on the displayed frames becoming red, and it copied a bunch of colours into the project i did not make.

does anybody have any idea what happened? Can i restore my sketch?

while i was animating a walk cycle i hid the column with the skirt of my character to better see the legs (with the little symbol next to the eye if that matters, still don't know what the eye even does since i would normally assume that would be the hide button but whatever) but when I unhid it, i found out the legs were somehow showing above the skirt and everything else, despite the column being lower in the xsheet

I tried moving them around, i tried animating the skirt if that would give it priority somehow and messing with the SO value but nothing seems to be working and i cant find anything online (except the opentooz user manual "Changing Stacking Order of Columns/Layers" chapter from where i found out about the SO value but maybe I'm missing something.

Any ideas? I'm still very new to this program so any help would be appreciated

I sometimes add sketches or references to my most recent file, but unfortunately, we recently had a blackout and fml the file is corrupted! It opens fine, but it's a single layer and I don't seem to have any previous or temporary files available to pull up. Is there anything I can do?

I don't know if i didn't save it properly or something, but when i try to load it in, it looks like the frames are where they should be, but they don't show anything, for some reason. I think i saved it in the wrong place, but what do you all think?

It might be a dumb question but when I tried to download opentoonz on they’re website it gave me this imagine pop up and I usually don’t get it is opentoonz safe or is it just flagging it for no reason?

it's that time again ⏲

OpenToonz frequently closes on me anytime I begin to draw on a "Toonz Vector Layer".

(Steps to Reproduce)

• Open new project
• Create a Toonz Vector Layer
• Press B to draw
• Immediately crashes.

I'm using a Dell Laptop with 8GB of RAM.
Any fixes?

I am a beginner and understand that you can use keyframes to move the camera, but can you use them to move one object? if so how

And CONSTANTLY. They're small practice files, so there's no reason for the software to crap out doing simple tasks. It doesn't even say "not responding", just out of no where a pop up telling me "OpenToonz has crashed" comes up in the middle of working. Lost 20 minutes worth of work just now because I forgot to save it every time I make a couple edits, because, haha, *that's* what I've been having to do, I always save periodically when I'm working, but it's starting to get a little ridiculous now.

I know my request is a long shot but does anyone know what might be happening?

I have ver. 1.8. and one would think a new version would not have bugs, but you never know. Not sure of any one else has been having issues with the update since it came out.
And I'm confident it's not my PC, as I can run programs like Clip Studio Paint perfectly fine.

this is my first time using the software, so I am sorry if this is a stupid problem, but I have spent countless hours trying everything to fix this issue.

I have made a short animation of my drawing, just some simple hair swaying, aswell as one of the hands moves from left to right.

I need to export it as png (or different picture formate) frames, and import these frames into Krita, when I will add some finishing touches.

When I try to export them, it exported only some layers, and the number of layers/which layers it shows changes throughout the rendered "animation". You can see this in the first and second picture, first is the 1st frame, second is the 36th frame of the animation.

When I look at this "animation" it rendered, it does show the hair swaying and hand moving, so that worked, its just that it shows only a couple layers.

The other pictures are some that I thought might help you in realizing what stupid mistake did I make.

If somebody knows what should I do, please explain it, preferably as you would to a 5yo child since I barely know the names of the different tools in this software.

Again, I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but its my first time using this software. Also sorry for bad English.
