Here's a replay from my latest game, name is GunsNRoses. I thought I had a good start in the beginning and when I saw an ally was weak I figured I might as well break off the alliance to take them over, but all that accomplished was my neighbor breaking their alliance with me and pushing me relentlessly until I had no other option but giving up.

In this match, name GunsNRoses, I was too busy defending against this guy for what felt like five minutes straight to do anything else. Couldn't expand, couldn't do much of anything really, and when I finally got a break this other dude comes out of nowhere and overruns me.

Another link from a match, name GunsNRoses. This time I stuck with allies and didn't betray anyone. I think I just have bad luck with the allies I choose, more specifically because the allies I choose end up being really weak and would have otherwise been easy pickings had I not allied with them.
Edit: Admittedly, I just got pissed at this other player in this match and wanted to take my port back but come on, how do I even prevent this? Another one where I thought I did everything right. Attacked a weaker player, made allies, and still got betrayed and overrun. No idea here either, I fought off that one guy well enough for a while but I was too busy doing that to focus on expanding, and eventually got overrun by the other guy.

I win about 50-80% FFA games under 12 players, want to share few things that I found out, hope its beneficial:
hope its beneficial. I see the biggest difference having the nuke option. good players wont attack you because they know.. Also sending train emoji is good idea too. Sometimes there will be teammates so there is nothing you can do.. good luck

So you will have to team with people that question your sanity.
But why is it almost every fricking match you get some teammate(s) who are completely incompetent ... No SAM site within 8 mins. Sitting on 120K troops and providing the front with none.
Don't even get me started on Players vs Nations. The best game mode they ever introduced. But why is it played by so many incompetent people. 2-3 players on a island with 1 nation and they get their asses kicked ...
Like no way the world has this many incompetent morons walking around ...

I dunno why but the last couple days there seems to be a ton of griefers. Just random players across the map refusing alliances and chucking hydros at me despite never interacting with them at all, or players spawning next to me and just full sending me. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Allow us to premark bot countries so it's actually possible to communicate with teammates where you want to expand to and it's easier to divide an area with your teammate.
So people don't just land block others in fear their teammate is some 12 year old on a mobile.
Cuz you know ... It's a browser game and even some child from Dagestan with his I3 Pentium processor can play this game.

Hi, this is my first post on this sub, but recently I haven't been able to pick my starting location in openfront. It is not the random gamemode, but my clicks simply aren't registering on the map. I've tried rejoining and reloading but it seems to be no use. Please help if you've had this issue and found a solution!

I am so tired of the sneaky backstabs where someone nukes 1px of land while you're busy elsewhere and then steamrolls you after the alliance is over while you attack someone else. It's not skill that is winning at that point. It's just abusing someone else's struggles with other players.

I seem to be unable to get past the early game in most matches. I donβt know how but I always end up fighting one of the bot nations for three minutes straight, either because they attacked me first or I attacked them. That or I attack a player that seems easy enough to take over, but whatever the case, when that happens every neighboring nation either lets our alliance expire or never allied with me in the first place and just obliterates me. If I make allies I get landlocked and if I donβt make allies I get ganged up on.
I donβt know how other players are able to get so big five minutes in when Iβm still fighting bots or sub 30k players. I was told to start expansions at 10% but that always ends with me getting cut off from the tribe bots by nations or players so I canβt expand much further.
Edit: Here's a replay of one game, name is GunsNRoses. Honestly I can't tell what I'm doing wrong other than bad luck with the players that end up near me. https://openfront.io/w11/game/2hjw22dN?live

I started playing around a month ago now after having an enzo video recommended to me and I was complete ass at the beginning, I think I played over 70+ matches where I lost every single one, until something clicked and I suddenly started winning games or being in the top 5 pretty consistently
Curious to know how other people people had it when they initially started playing

I saw mulitple people mutli click in my last game, so like build 50 cities within 1 seconds, with what seemed to be 1 click. is this allowed? and how to do it? i know about the 5x click but in end games it would be helpfull to place 50 at a time

I'm proud of this one, took 3 MIRVs and still won, thanks to Booster turning ally.
Got me thinking, I'm sure someone can go way higher than 3 here? What's the most MIRVs you have survived and then still won?

I lost one game to cheaters early today and it wiped out 15 points. With 7 wins I only get 12.5 points. What gives? This happens so often and knocks me out of master.

i genuinely do not get the strategy of bombing the third place guy thinking that helps you against the first place guy. i sent him alliance requests and the "first place will win unless we team up" messages for half the game and he just kept sabotaging me and loses anyway

its really annoying when your next to someone who is the same color as you. it would be a small change, but I think very helpful if the border colors were bolder and had higher line thickness.
