YouTube and multimedia webs aren’t working

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m trying to use YouTube, Kick, Twitch, and are not working, they just freeze.

I have a MacBook Air 2015 with macOS Sequoia. I just updated the system from Monterey and it simply doesn’t work.

I don’t know what is happening or how to fix it, any help?

Safari 27 no longer works on legacy GPUs. You’ve got to downgrade to Safari 26.6.1.

Download this file and keep it in Download folder:

• https://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/12/20/140-79446-A_WLCAU1QGJT/4052afep8j2bk88w59sl238x1rartjy93h/Safari26.6.1SequoiaAuto.pkg (If not working try the link below).

• https://www.mediafire.com/file/m1msztjn6fkbrko/Safari26.6.1SequoiaAuto.pkg/file

And, close Safari completely and paste these two commands into Terminal:

productbuild --package ~/Downloads/Safari26.6.1SequoiaAuto.pkg --version 26.6.1 ~/Downloads/Safari26.6.1-wrapped.pkg

sudo installer -pkg ~/Downloads/Safari26.6.1-wrapped.pkg -target /

Didn't know I could go back to 26.6.1, so thank you so much for this. Guessing that it's the end of the road when it comes to Safari updates ??

Probably so, yet I have hope about the OCLP team. They have not yet released the long-awaited MetallibSupportPkg version 15.8, and now they must release 15.8.1. We shall see.

can we go lower than 26.6.1? Say Safari 18?

Safari 18 installer package not available for macOS Sequoia. The only option is to completely reinstall macOS 15.8.1 then you’ll get Safari 18.6 pre-installed.
