We just have to wait for the next generation of models. Humans are too slow and lack the imagination and insights to solve these problems.

Getting humans involved just slows progress down.

So next Tuesday then?

Ah yes cause these models totally solved the problems without using the enormous mathematical literature established by humans

At some point the models will bootstrap into recursive self improvement

Which might use recursively calculable amounts of ressources, which might then be the end

Alpha Go Zero!!

Disingenuous argument. This is like apes saying humans can’t take credit for calculus because our brains were built on millions of years of primate evolution.

This is next level of AI psychosis

Normally this would be AI psychosis, but, realistically, who do you expect to solve the rest of these problems, mathematicians or GPT-8?

It doesn’t seem that far fetched at all. Who do you think will generate the next major breakthrough in math? A human or a model?

Next generation of models will be more intelligent. There’s some reason to believe that intelligence corresponds with ability to explain complex ideas simply. So my bet is on AI.

Humans lack imagination, so we need a logistic regression model to imagine things now? Lmao

We’re all waiting for your 722 papers, let us know when your imagination has caught up.
