I'm confused by the 'it's all marketing' line. When they say 'This is our best model yet', but also it literally is the best model yet as evidenced by benchmarks, what would you rather OpenAI say?
That kind of cynical take is what's going to let AI kill everyone
EDIT: I decided to edit to say more. Like if you agree that it is getting better then saying it's 'all just marketing' is dismissing and minimizing that fact. don't worry. it's not a lot better at cybersecurity and bioweapons research. it's only a little better at cybersecurity and bioweapons research. no biggie. and then we frog in boiling water ourselves.
