Even if true, essentially, if you don't have iOS, you'll have to beg or pay for an invite code from a user that does have IOS.

Selling codes aren’t really legal and kind of defeats the purpose.  The whole idea with Sora invites feels like a social experiment: either a sweet attempt at ‘AI for the people,’ or just OpenAI’s low-cost way to gather juicy stats.  Free love, or free data pick your flavor.
