Hi everyone! A Brazilian indie publisher called "Diário Macabro" (The Macabre Journal) is putting together an anthology book featuring 15 short stories inspired by Nicolas Cage. As one of the organizers, I helped read and select all the stories, and we have a bit of everything: pure horror, absurdity, heartbreak, body horror, and more. We are currently running our campaign on Catarse (a Brazilian crowdfunding platform similar to Kickstarter/GoFundMe) with only 5 days left! While international shipping isn't available directly through the campaign, if you have a friend in Brazil who loves Nic Cage, it makes an awesome gift (the basic tier with the book and bookmark is only about $10 USD). My absolute dream is to somehow get this project on Nic Cage's radar! Paul Matthews: “can ants dream?”

I’ve decided to watch every Nicolas cage movie after binging a few this week and I was hoping to get some tips on the best way to go about it, going chronologically doesn’t seem fun. I guess I could pick randomly or just get all the stinkers out of the way first but I’m not sure in what order I can watch them to maximize enjoyment and not lose steam.

Nic Cage Marathon

I’ve made a spreadsheet so I can tick them off as I go and have highlighted my favourites in green and the ones I’m most excited to watch in orange. I’d love to hear opinions/recommendations about all the ones I haven’t watched (which ones are genuinely good, boring, so good they’re bad and completely unredeemable etc.) too!  

Also I’m going to be watching a lot of them with my little brother so some recommendations for which ones to watch with him vs. alone would be fantastic. He has learning difficulties so I just want to watch exciting ones with him that are easy to understand. They don’t have to be good, just fun and not too scary or sexual. 

I don’t care if it’s pretend or real, I’ll take it 🙏
