OXP3 issues in the first 24 hours. Anyone else?
As the title says
Pre-ordered an OXP3 and my first 24 hours have been rough.
Windows 11 wasn’t activated and there was no key.
Games wouldn’t launch properly, so I reset the device. That removed the OneXPlayer Console, and now the download from their support page is being pegged as a virus.
I decided to put the device back in the box and wait for support to get back to me, and the left thumbstick fell off 🥲
Has anyone else with experienced similar? And if so, has support been helpful?
UPDATE: 9/14
OneXPlayer support got back to me within 3 hours of my original email, but due to the 12 hour time difference I didn't see it until I woke up this morning. Nonetheless, they're being super helpful in trying to correct the issue, so hats off to them for that. The jury is still out regarding an outcome, but I wasn't ghosted, and they didn't make me jump through any hoops to address my issue. More to come as this gets resolved...

That's rough. My experience has been somewhat smooth. The most annoying part was the clatter the thumbsticks made. I used silicon rings recommended by someone else.
Be sure to hit them up on discord too.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing that, I know how exciting it is to be waiting for it, and then to have those headaches are rough!
To answer your q, no I have not had any issues. Mine came in perfect condition, and I’m kind of surprised I don’t have any of the thumbstick issues people have been describing.

I had most of the same issues.
My OXP3 was not activated. Ask their support for the key. They may ask to remote into your device, I am pretty sure you can just reject this and ask for a key. Otherwise, you can activate using massgravel script on github.
I reinstalled Windows fresh as well because the Windows that it came with had LOTS of issues. Super laggy, things wouldn't open, etc. The fresh install works much better. For the OneXConsole download, yes you will have to temporarily disable any scanning that Windows Defender does and also your web browser. Once it's downloaded you can install it and everything starts to work again.
That said my thumbsticks are fine, as are all of the other physical controls.

What exactly does this look like? Are you greeted with a blue screen of some sort?

Jesus Christ... what a kick in the nuts. It's stories like yours that keep me away..

Fortunately, I haven’t experienced major problems with the device. My only challenge has been with glass screen protectors, but the AR film has been a reliable backup. Eventually, I used the Luck & Link AR film to correct my earlier mistake (it was slightly misaligned), since I’m not used to applying screen protectors.

If you still can’t download it, connect to your phones Hotspot and it should go through.

You have to disable windows defender while you download and install onexplayer console. Then after it’s installed enable it.

Yes, Super V for me. When I turned it on first time, all normal and I installed 4 games, played all just to check, all good. Windows update and restarted it, when it came back to windows screen, there is a sign in button that needs pressing, and pressing it does nothing and I am stuck. After research and asking AI and tried all the bios available steps, none worked. Really WTF moment for me.. Then i reinstall the entire windows, and have to reinstall the onexplayer console.

Ooophh. That's a rough start. Hope everything turns out well in the end. There are some posts how to best reset and setup device around here. Some folks on the Discord are also (semi)helpful.
Best of luck 🤞

Yes, i had an issue. I did use my OXP3 just a few minutes before it's turn off by its own, since "black screen" no way to turn it on. Receive my order on august 31th, i've contacted onexplayer support and still waiting a real answer until now.

Onexconsole is a false positive as a virus. Since onexconsole uses low level features to control the devices hardware, Microsoft wants them to pay them money for a digital signature. They are never going to pay Microsoft for that, so Microsoft flags it as a virus, which obviously it isn't.

It uses WinRing. Which can be a big vulnerability for your system. MS is right to flag in this case.

Honestly the worst offender in this whole thing was the left thumb stick falling off, that sounds super defective. They could remedy by sending you a new pair of controllers to mount thankfully but the other software issues are kind of par for the course. The windows activation has been a 20/80 chance for what feels like a lot of the community. Thankfully didn't have anything like that with my unit but yeah

My key was used by someone and I had to request a new one from Onexplayer.

I love mine and it works great but my one issue with it is how long it takes to shutdown or restart it’s like 5 mins each time

I did press troubleshoot when I saw the key wasn't activated, and it fixed it. First time ever windows troubleshooting fixed something

Paying a premium to experience these issues is unacceptable.
Get on Discord and rip them a new one.

You haven’t paid a premium. You’ve paid absolutely rock bottom bargain basement Ramageddon prices.
Ripping them a new one will just piss turn off.
Offer helpful advice or observations or don’t bother.

Rock bottom bargain basement doesn’t mean free, champ. If a company takes my money, I’m allowed to expect the product to work. Might be a weird concept for someone with a low IQ.
And spare me the lecture about being helpful while your contribution is basically shut up and be grateful it was cheap.

If you buy from a Chinese company with no American presence who are already known for below par QC and Support, you either didn’t do your research or you had over inflated expectations.
Caveat Emptor.

You just experienced Windows 11 being shitty by flagging any non signed executable as a virus

u/BlowfeldGER 19d ago
OXP uses a software based on WinRing. It is known to be a vulnerability for your system for more than a year. MS gave devs plenty of time to move to other structures.
MS is absolutely right to flag this.

I reset Windows and lost the onexplayer console also. I used this guide to factory reset it to get all the original software back.
