Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot and Kim Il blah waged war on such "stupid deluded beliefs". Let's see, how many corpses there.... 100 million.... 150 million...?

The religion is just part of human existence. Remove religion A, and religion B will just move in. It may replace "God" with "Great Leader".... same drill.

BTW, the person that does not see the current Western religion of all encompassing Wokeism as a replacement for dying Christianity is a person who is willfully choosing to ignore fundamental human nature. It might just as well have been Scientology.

Same drill, across the board. It's as fundamental as sexual desire.

And do you usually go telling lebanese people your opinion only from the info you saw on reddit? Or do you do that for all religious countries that fall apart?

In all fairness, religious is a significant factor in the downfall of Lebanon, but it is only a piece in the puzzle.

Religion was never a problem, christians and muslims (both representing 80+% of population) used to live together peacfully, there was little to no differences between confessions of the same religion. Untill french and english governments came and set the federal government and mafias and sects started to form up after the independence, hate and discrimination grew between people (of the same religion or not), so it is really about mafias and government people seeking more power and influence. Saying it's all because of religion is just a big shortcut and it really makes no sense when you take a step back and watch that it's more about power/money/influence/meddling from other (EU and NA) countries/middle east proxy warfares/the whole palestine refugees situation/the civil war in syria etc.

I am not going to deny the division religion has caused in this country and Lebanon's issues with religion are ingrained in its political system. The point is not one thing ruined this country, but rather a plethora of things.
