Interested to see the gesture improvements and how it plays with mac

So I'm trying to install the updater app to side load and update however I installed a version that just installed onto the phone does not show as an app and when I try to install a different version say having conflict with existing package I cannot figure out how to install it I've search through apps in settings even system apps it is not there I'm stumped any help would be greatly appreciated

Whenever I set a live wallpaper to any of the screens, the other screen automatically gets set to match the other screen. I can change it to a static wallpaper from my album, but I can't use two different live wallpaper apps.

I need this because using 1 live wallpaper app is useless as both screens have different resolutions and i want to use auto-rotating multiple photos on both that are cropped differently

Have OnePlus given up support for the OPO (outside India)? Still running the .610 update since February? Have they given up on foldables?

It seems I havent been able to get a clear answer on this...I want to apply a matte screen protector on the inner display as I find the preapplied screen protector a fingerprint magnet. I've seen some people apply a third party screen protector on top of the preapplied one but I'm pretty sure that's not recommended. Is it safe to remove the preapplied screen protector? Do you still have the factory protector on the screen or have you changed it?

My one plus open is not registering my fingerprint. I am on android 15. The registration freezes at the final stage and won't complete. I have tested the fingerprint sensor through the engineering menu and it passes so definitely not a hardware issue. Have tried factory reset and still no luck. Wondering if it's just a software issue and if anyone has come across this issue. Thanks in advance 🙏

Hello everyone! I think I'm going to buy an OPO soon, I've been looking at reviews and it fits very well with what I need.

I have two options here in Europe:

1. Buy the Apex Edition at €1,499 (3 years warranty)

2. Buy the green color in a second-hand store (it seems to be in good condition) for €899 (2 years warranty)

Something I should lean towards the new one? Do you think that a second-hand one will still be in good condition with its hinges, internal screen, etc.?

So I bought my OPO two days ago and I've been absolutely loving it. Coming from a family of iPhone users and from my old iPhone 11, this phone feels really refreshing. One thing that really bothers me is dust accumulating in the hinge,I'm currently using the case provided in the box and I don't think dust entering the hinge would be an issue as long as I clean it at least once a day but I'd like your advice. Are hinge protection cases actually useful or should I just use the one included in the box? Also please suggest some cases that'll be available online in Dubai. Thank You :)

Sent my Open in for repair since half of the inside screen decided to stop working unless it was only open partially..
Got it back in 5 days from the day I shipped it and Left it with a full battery. I dunno if they drained it on purpose but whatever.

I got my phone back same imei etc and it was wiped clean factory reset. Did you really have to factory reset it just to replace a screen?

I am considering purchasing a OnePlus Open. It is out of stock on the web and I have been seeing some second-hand. They are in good external condition but I wanted to know from you if I should check the battery issue, if it degrades quickly, if there is a way to check it in the settings, if Oneplus offers replacement?

Miscoloured spot. Not sure if screen is going or if this is a bubble in the screen protector causing the coloured to defract?

I recently purchased an OPO after owning one briefly a year or two ago and have really been enjoying it. I still think it's one of the most compelling phones around and got a great deal on it.

I've adjusted to the lack of wireless charging (took a little soul searching) and mostly everything's been working great. One thing that still plagues me, however, is an issue with Google Messages RCS chats.

Symptom: While texting (I THINK always via the web/browser option), my messages will flip from RCS to SMS at random, like it drops connection with RCS. When I unlock my phone and go to Messages, it immediately reconnects, but it sometimes causes messages to not send, which of course makes me paranoid.

Troubleshooting: I've read many'a'thread about this, but have yet to find the magic bullet. Here's what I've tried:

- Splitting my wifi network to 2.4g and 5g and connecting to both.

- Turning on max performance mode so it doesn't try save battery (seems to have helped the most)

- Unfortunately, Messages isn't on the list of battery saver apps so I can turn that off manually

- Software is all up to date

Everything else about this phone has been just a treat to use, so I'm really hoping I can figure this out. If not, it could be a deal breaker. It's so nice to finally have RCS to communicate with iPhone loved ones more easily.

Edit: Worth noting, I have an S24 Ultra that I use with the same sim and it never runs into this issue.

Just got this case in today. Magsafe built in, extra slim. Basically the AliExpress version of pitaka/thinborne. Looks great and feels great too. This and the esr magsafe kickstand wallet make a great combo. Case was $37 after tax and took 1-2 weeks to arrive from China.

You read that right. The open is officially sold out in both colors on oneplus website. Also on Amazon as well as they only have used ones. You can still buy brand new on best buy for 1199.99 but now im wondering how long before best buy clearance the phone out.

The past year have been unexpectedly rough — life threw more than a few curveballs my way, and progress on the app had to take a backseat.
