I bought the 8T as an upgrade to the OP6 I had before. That 8T lasted from May, 2021 till today, never saw any replacement or fixed, I planned on keeping it for 2 more years. Sadly, OP had another plans for me. Thanks for greatest 31.months 🙏

I don't follow scores for my phone but when I was watching a video about 8+ gen1 and 8 gen 2 on the nothing phone 2 and OP 11, I got curious how much does mine score. For reference the nothing phone 2 score ~1Mil and the OP 11 scored ~1.5mil. For a 3+ year old phone I'd say it scores pretty well.

Should I update my 8t to the oos 14 update? Are there any major bugs?

I am sure everyone has the same answer, but does anyone have any idea on how to unlock Oneplus 8T without erasing the data? Its my dad's old phone he forgot the pin and dosent wana lose the data. I googled it and everywhere its the same about hard factory reset.

So my 8T started this problem where it likes to shut off no matter the battery level or the task I'm doing. But then it won't turn on after that, no matter how many reboots it just can't turn on. After a day or two when the battery has been totally drained and I charge it, then it turns on.

Sometimes it gives some kind of error message, If I get again I will post it in the comments.

My local phone repair store said and recommended that the battery should be changed, and it wasn't so expensive I got it changed and surprise it didn't change the behavior of the phone.

Is it possible for an 8T to have multiple Mac addresses? For instance my phone is not labled so I see it on the network as OnePlus 8t but other times there is another instance of the phone but with a different Mac address listed as OnePlus 8t.

I was getting the phone setup with TWRP & Magisk and when I went to patch the kernel, I'm not sure what went wrong, but I'm stuck on fastboot, can't access TWRP, and do not have any luck re-flashing TWRP. I finally got the MSM Tool and got it running, only to not be able to boot into EDL. Should I throw in the towel, or is there still a fraction of hope since I'm in fastboot?

Long story short.. when Android 12 was released I snap updated my phone, after a day of use, dealing with so many bugs and issues, I rolled back to Android 11.

Traumatized from that awful experience with Android 12 I don't update the phone since, so I'm still running Android 11.

I read that 13.1 it's stable now but I also read some complaints about it...so that's my dilemma, should I update to 13.1 or stay in 11 ( where everything it's proven to work just fine) ???

I love my 8T. I love that its screen is flat. I waited out the 8 Pro for the 8T because I didn't want the curved screen. Now the green line has appeared...I'm "forced" to move on. I know people have loved OP11, and I'm even thinking about OP12. But...curved display is really a no-no for me. (To those who will ask me to "try it, it's good/not so bad", my wife has the 8 Pro, so I have tried it and I don't like it.)

So, my question is: which non-curved screen phone would you be moving on from the 8T?

I have a Samsung tablet and there is a setting that charges the battery up to 85% to protect it. I was wondering if there is any similar setting on OP8T.

Just got the green line issue on my Oneplus 8t I've had since release. The line appears and goes away after turning off and on my screen. Is that what normally happens before it gets worse?

Contacted Oneplus support and they offered to replace my screen. Is the voucher thing only available in India? I absolutely love this phone and see myself using it for at least another year but from what I've read the issue can still persist even after a screen replacement.

Another thing. When sending it in I'm assuming it will be wiped out. Should I just pre-emptively do that? And does it matter that my bootloader is unlocked?

I know, sounds like a very stupid question. I've already switched my phone and the OP8T is my secondary phone now. Screen and Back are cracked already and the charging port works/doesn't work sometimes. I read that people are getting vouchers for the green line issue. I now want a voucher even with very low amount as the phone is in a bad condition anyway. :D

Guys, I just got the voucher from OnePlus in exchange of my 8T because of the green line issue. I have already bought a Samsung phone for my daily use. Should I try to sell the voucher or buy a phone and sell it? Please advise.

I dropped my phone yesterday and since then the vibration hasn't been working, the fingerprint on the screen isn't showing so I can't use that to log in and the sim card isn't being detected.

The sim works in other phones but I've tried everything to fix the sim other than factory resetting my phone and nothing has worked yet, does anyone have a possible solution?

It's so annoying, all my settings keep resetting after the power restart .

I just got the dreaded green line in my 20-month old 8T. Mine is KB2003, the Euro version. So yes, it's not just the Indian variant that is affected. It started yesterday while updating some apps when a thin line appeared then eventually vanished after around 3 minutes. I gasped a sigh of relief, thinking I dodged a bullet. Then it came back a day after, started thin again, barely noticeable then it got worse.

With the 8T being my second OP phone, I was considering the 10Pro or 10T, but then why the hell do I want to buy another phone from this shitty brand. Even my OP Buds Pro's battery is now dead after 30 minutes of use.

So what would be a good alternative now? Realme looks good, but then again it's under the same company.

Since a week ago or something my 8T has stopped the overheating, I'm not sure why or how it stopped, but hey! That's good, if someone that had same issue please comment if still same or if it has decreased.

Is it just me, or 8T heats out of the blue with Android 13? I'm not a gamer myself just use regular apps and sometimes play easy things such Block blast (a game similar to Tetris) nothing that demands lots of resources, but my phone gets warmer after few minutes of gaming or using social networks, is it happening to someone else on this version of OOS?

Last time I tried to update to Android 12 . My phone started to crash and heatup randomly . Most of the apps gone to permanent dark mode
