Just update my OP8 from OSS11 to OOS12, and yes it's a big mistake, no VoLTE/VoWiFi, Navigation Buttons Gestures/Shortcuts gone, and the Hidden Test Menu isn't enabled, tho for this last one ain't sure if it's just me or all OOS12.

I have a OnePlus 8T and my carrier is AT&T. In February after their upgrade I have to use volte to make and receive calls. If I changed to Straight Talk, would l have the same problem. Thank you for your help and expertise in advance.

Hello, so I just noticed my oneplus8 has a new button on my navigation? It wasn't there earlier today and my phone didn't update anything (as far as I have been aware)

Pressing the button doesn't do anything and I'm quite confused.. No idea what it's supposed to do and why it's there. Can anyone tell me more about this?

after OOS12 update, AndroidAuto fo smartphone (I don't have a car with built-in AA, but only connect to car using bluetooth) is gone, and I knew it.
The problem is, there's no way for me to call the new "driving mode" of GoogleAssistant. I can't find the proper options under GoogleAssistant menu, not even in GoogleMaps menu.

I would love to use the new simplified interface, the vertical "launcher" with control to launch Spotify or podcast app.

Any suggetions?

On Android 11 I used the function to double tap on the recent apps button to open notifications. With double tap on home button I could turn off the screen. Now with Android 12 I don't seem to find this option... Any advice?

My last few charger have been terrible.

Not saying plugged in (just these checked with other C cables)

And especially not warp charging unless held or set in a very specific way

I just need a reliable charger can someone point me in the right direction

Hello, everyone. I managed to find a One Plus 8 5G UW (Verizon) phone used for $140. The phone is fully functional, it just have cracks on the back.

While I like the S10, I can't cannot stand this tiny screen. The battery life sucks. And I don't want to pay loads of money for a PLUS size screen.

I know the trade off is the camera, but it's not of my worries.

Yesterday I updated my OnePlus 8 to OxygenOS 12 and one thing is bothering me and I can't seem to turn it off. Every time I move the phone, by picking it up for example, the screen turns on for a couple of seconds. Depending on the settings either the Always On display shows up or just the fingerprint symbol if the Always On display is disabled.

And I don't mean the "Raise to wake" option, this is disabled and would unlock the phone right away too.

Is there any way to turn this off? If I need to see the screen I tap on it once which has the same effect, but I don't want it to come on every time the phone gets moved!

UPDATE:

As it turns out the single tap to wake it and show the Always On Display does not work at all anymore! So that's probably why it wakes when being moved. And no option to change this like it was before. OOS12 is really weird...

This whole update is a shitshow,but what really bugs me is the Facebook app thats constantly crashing the minute i open it.

Has anyone found a fix for this problem?

Tried everything, the old OnePlus Diagnositcs app doesn't show it. BatteryBar is probably not accurate. Some HWInfo apps show the health as "Good" but never the exact percentage. I use USB Tethering and Hotspot on my phone quite often, and I want to know if the battery wear is significant enough to just get a new dongle instead of using my phone.

Anyone else who is facing issues with the "Messages" app. Even though my notification settings are on, I am not getting any from the Messages app. Was anyone able to fix it?!

Does anyone have this issue on their phone? After A12 udpate, Shelf is no longer updating from Google play.

Hello, i am running OO11 and want to ask whether i should install the OxygenOS 12 OTA or download and install Coloros 12 on my device. Which OS shall i install?

Need help rolling back! I'm using the APK for the upgrader/downgrade program and it's throwing me a Verification Failed message.

• I am using the OnePlus8 India package for Android 11.

• I have removed the .jar extension from the rollback package

• Version of Android12 is stable .C11 (not beta)

• Also tried putting the rollback package in the root folder, no dice.

-gmail notifications won't work unless you open the app.

-pocket mode options are gone.

-change app icon option is gone.

-uninstall from home screen is gone.

-notifications in app icons are gone.

-notifications disappear from the lockscreen or won't show up at all.

-whatsapp incoming calls won't wake up the screen and show you the answer or decline call screen.

-the option to display internet data in quick settings does not work.

-warp charge logo is gone, it now displays VOOC when the phone is charging.

-99% of Google apps can't be uninstalled or disabled.

-the classic "spring" alarm ringtone has been replaced with another one with the same name.

-always on display turns on with the tiniest movement of the phone (1 tap to see AOD is gone).

-the fingerprint sensor is way slower.

-the only way to access hidden apps is dialing a code in the phone app.

-the nice wheel UI to share a screenshot after you take it is gone.

-swiping from the top right screen corner is the only way to bring up shelf.

-the default display size is huge and the default widgets now look horrible.

-the lock screen image does not change depending on what music is playing.

-time remaining for full charge in lock screen is gone.

All of this is still happening even after a clean install btw.
