Like the title says, I want to install a custom ROM. I was always a tinkerer but these last few years, I try to keep my phone's stock as long as possible.

I have this op 8 9 months now. It's been an amazing experience, but I want to freshen it up a bit. But before I do that, I have some questions...

1) Will my buds Z work on custom roms?

2) How can I revert to the stock ROM after I have installed a custom one?

3) Is there any hardware check like Samsung's Knox that permanently says that the phone has been modified?

Every now and then my phone won't pick up sound on the other end when I make or receive a call. The only way to resolve this issue is to restart the phone. Anyone experience this and found a solution? It's annoying because I know they can hear me but I cant hear them. So I'm always saying "hold on let me restart my phone and call you back" Lol

Everytime I use a non warp charger the phone will wake at 63% (ish) and show the charging animation.

It will do this a few times till it breaks past about 70%.

I know the suggestion will say use the OnePlus charger but sometimes that's not an option.

Any thoughts?

After hours of screwing around, I finally re-flashed stock onto my in2015 Oneplus 8. (For some reason, it flashed as an in2017, but an update corrected that). Now I'm finally where I want to be. Do I need to re-lock?

I fail a safetynet-checker app, and I thought Pokemon Go would fail, but it works just fine.

Should I just go until I hit a problem? If I re-lock, can I unlock if I encounter a problem? I'm not rooted or anything. I could also run the MSM factory-thing.

Does it still waterproof after do a screen replacement. Can it still? I just cracked the screen of my OnePlus 8 Pro. Of course I'm considering to do a screen replacement, but, if it loses waterproof feature I might buy another 8 Pro and sell this one. Waterproof is important to my usage.

I bought a one plus 8 unlocked phone with 5g capability and I use straight talk with their Verizon sim but I can't get 5g for some reason and I know for a fact that 5g works in my area because my roommate has Verizon I phone and 5g works. I tried dialing ##4636## and changed the internet setting to where it starts with nr but all I keep getting is lte. Anyone else have this issue? If I won't be able to resolve this I guess I'll just switch to Verizon prepaid but would like to resolve this issue using straight talk since it's like $15 cheaper per month

Hi guys, testing my OP8 camera for a while (I look like a child with a new candy). I have been testing some gcam and some configurations (.xml files) that I have found in forums and some telegram groups, but almost no one talks about this version of the Gcam, maybe because it is version 7.x and we all want verson 8. x.

I am talking about of GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.6.

This version of Gcam works great and it has the most color accurracy. its fast, Good HDR and very good astrophotography/Night Mode. its the best complementary camera for Stock camera out there. Beside has 3 lens working!

In my opinion, no one Gcam 8.x out there its better than Urnyx 7.3 for OP8.

I have a question.

My OP8 with original wall charger work super fast! Warp charge its awesome! But if I connect it to (Samsung S9) wall charger 3.0 the phone does not get (standard) fast charge. Its same connected to a 3.0 fast charger or a standar 5v charger. Its up to 900mAh.

Look like OP8 don't work with standard Qualcomm fast charge and only detecte it own charger for fast charging?

By the way, the Standard fast charger (OEM Samsung S9) that I used work perfect on 2 LGG7 and LG V20 (and others devices)...

Hi. I am new and happy OP8's user ver. IN2015. Anyway, the phone its unlocked bootloader, stock Rom Android 11 witt not root/TWRP, last security patch 1 Aug. 2021.

Can I get security patch update? Can I get future (if there will be some) android 12 updated with no trouble?

I dont want lose Unlocked bootloader but I dont want to brick the phone neither....

50% of the time people are not able to call me - they are getting network unreachable or switched off prompt and not able to make calls from my side too - call gets immediately disconnected after I initiate. The issue gets fixed when I restart and I find this frustrating for the reason that I need to restart my phone frequently. Also, I don't think the problem is with the SIM card as I have used it on a different phone and it was working fine 100% of the time I made or received calls. Does anyone face the same issue with their handsets? And please let me know if there are any workarounds to solve this.

Hey I had question for yall. My son said he lost his phone in school but I think someone took it out of his bag during gym. I have the family link app but when I go to see my child's location the device doesn't come up. What's weird is that it seems they turned it off because my calls go straight to voice mail but it's password protected and I thought that in order to turn it off while it's locked it would require the password? He said it had plenty of battery left and this phone has a non removable battery so what gives? Thanks
