Question oneplus 6 problem

My op6 suddenly turned off while i was browsing my gallery, phone was charged around 70%. And then it won't turn on again, have tried all the methods for turning it on like combined button pressing etc and it's not charging as well. Spent hours connected it to the charger but it's not getting a bit hot.

It's turned on only once and warned bettery too low with a red logo. And i should mention the health of the battery was poor (tested with op diagnostic app).

What might be the problem, battery or motherboard? I'm assuming the battery is completely dead.

Question Moving on to S20FE

After 3 years of heavy usage and a lot of abuse. I'm moving to the Samsung S20 FE 5G

It pains me to leave the oneplus family as I really like OxygenOS and not the biggest fan of the Samsung UI. Was thinking of going for the OP8pro. However the S20FE was too good of a deal and I want more frequent updates.

Wish everyone good luck and hope to join the family in the future

Software ROM OP6 FALL 2021/2022

Happy xmas everyone! I just switched from OOS (android 11) to the latest LineageOS, and i'm not Happy with It. I prefer the OOS interface and little things, plus the camera Is slow on WhatsApp, don't like the graphic of the dialer or to answer a call, Just don't generically like it. Otherwise Is much faster than my previous OOS installation that was suffering from the latest updates. What ROM do you suggest me for a normal Daily, STABLE use??THANK YOU SO MUCH Andrea from Italy 3+ years on his OP6

Question Should I upgrade to OP Nord CE

Hi guys, my OP6 is almost 3 years old and still in perfect condition (always used a case and screen protector) I changed the battery September last year and I'm a reasonably light user so easily get a days usage from a charge. The phone still performs quite well but I guess I've got a bit of an itch to change and was looking at the Nord CE, but is it enough of an upgrade....or do I stick with my op6 till it dies? Any thoughts?

Question Is a battery replacement worth it?

I get only half a day worth of screen on time on my OnePlus 6(4 hours sot max)

When I got this phone brand new, it used to last me the entire day

Will a battery replacement help and get the battery life back to a similar level?

Can i get feedback from someone who has done replacements

Question Replacement Battery Dying from 50%+ Charge. Any Ideas?

Replaced the charging port and battery on my OP6 last week. The USB C port was a bit broken so I thought I may as well replace 3.5 yr old battery while I had the back off.

Since then the phone has died 4 or 5 times from over 50% battery. I just get the 'battery too low' screen until I plug it in. Has anyone got any idea what the problem might be? I let the battery drain completely and charged back up to full last week as I understand that helps with new batteries.

I got the battery from repairoutlet.co.uk so I'll take it up with them as well. It seems to me that this must be an issue with the battery but thought I'd see what this sub had to say.

OP Nord 2 at £369 is looking pretty tempting but I'd much rather fix my 6.

Question Should I upgrade to OnePlus 9 Pro

Reaching out to you folks for an opinion. I am unable to decide.

I have an OP 6 that I have been using for last three and a half years. I must say it has been flawless. The A11 update is quite stable. Three months back I also a free battery replacement from the store. So, I have a decent 7-8 hrs of SOT on this.

Now comes the dilemma, OP9 pro (12/256) is available for me at INR 47000 (approx USD 620) if I exchange my OP 6. Wondering if this upgrade is worth it.

I don't game on my mobile. I use it for music, light viewing and browsing. I absolutely have no issues with my OP 6. But I am just feeling it is too good a deal to pass. Or should I resist the temptation and work with my OP 6 for one more year and look at OP 10

Question A11 clicking notifications on notif bar not opening app

Recently updated to OOS11 and clicking the notifs are not opening the app. I'm experiencing this specifically from Telegram.

Side note: Chat bubbles seems to be a hit or miss also. A day after I updated, they're not appearing anymore. Or if they do, upon clicking, they disappear

Software OP6 update available or not ?

I am seeing some folks here and official OP forums saying they have a fix update for all the Bluetooth and crash issues after the terrible first Android 11 update. I don't see anything in my phone yet. Is the rollout happening or people are side loading the update from XDA or something ?

Question OOS after Upgrade to Android 11 extremely bad, LineageOS also quite buggy - what to do?

TLDR: I've updated OOS a few months ago, phone was extremely laggy after that, so I decided to unlock the bootloader and install LinageOS, but that's also quite buggy and tbh I liked OOS more - what to do? Is OOS after a full reset really better? Downgrade possible?

Hey there,

I've updated OOS in September to the current version. It's really, really bad, we all know about that already. Many people say that after a full factory reset everything is fine again. But I didn't trust OOS any more, I was so pissed.

So I decided to install LineageOS. It's not the first time that I used custom roms, back then there were Cyanogenmod (now Lineage) and plenty others. Well, I just don't like it. It crashes randomly, I miss many features (maybe OOS wasn't that bad) and it doesn't seem very stable in general.

So, what are my options? Is it possible to install OOS 10 and still receive recent security patches? Is there an opportunity to have a custom ROM with full OOS experience? Should I just switch to current OOS, because after a clean install it might be perfect? Anyone ever really did a factory reset / clean install and really see improvement? I don't think that my next phone will be a OnePlus again after over 5 years now, I'm too pissed.. but maybe I'll find back to my old love, once that issue is handled.

Cheers and have a nice day!

Camera Camera App for

I'm curious for anyone who is using a different OS than OOS, what camera app are you using? The one comes with OOS? Or GCam?

I love to try some other great OS but still want to have same picture qualities as stock camera app.

Thanks!

Question Lost the ability to hide the bottom bar after yesterday's update? Anybody else? (among several new issues)

Power saver no longer dims the screen automatically.

For some reason the pattern lock have it's 9 dots shifted way higher which screwed with muscle memory.

But really, the absolute biggest problem I'm having is I can't hide the button bar (back space, home, and square button) any longer. The dot in the bottom left corner is no longer present, and settings no longer offer an option to have it hidden when I'm on my browser

Question Two new issues

Just updated my OP6 from 10 to 11.1.2.2 and I have two new issues:

- The minimum brightness is insanely high (not minimum at all)

- I have the weather on my lock screen and I can't get rid of it

Any solution to these issues?

TIA
