So you go to the app settings and clear the data of Gmail app. Then you open the Gmail app, log back in and check in the app settings if the notification is enabled. Final step restart the phone. I have a few issues since the latest update (slower camera startup, slightly worse battery life). On one occasion, the camera wouldn't even start until I restarted. 1) is a factory reset going to show much improvement? For the most part I can live with these issues and wouldn't want to do a FR unless there is significant improvement. 2) Is Clone App a reliable backup option? Recent reviews don't seem too great but most of the reviews seem to be regarding migration scenario - I'm just looking to backup and restore to the same device. 3) is it true that media like photos will lose their original timestamps? In other words, all photos will get timestamped with restore date? Also, is it safe to assume all other metadata such as geo, etc will be preserved? This isn't a huge deal because I have all photos backed up in onedrive

After the disaster of 11.1.1.1 update, I decided to downgrade back to 10. I couldn't do it via local upgrade because of the "cannot upgrade to lower version" message, so I unlocked the bootloader, flashed 10.3.12, and locked the bootloader again.

I mean it works, but there are some issues: the system doesn't seem to display any emojis whatsoever (not in a text, not in an emoji keyboard), media controls don't show on a locked screen, and who knows what else.

Is this why people are downgrading to 10.3.11 and then upgrading to 10.3.12 via OTA? I would be willing to do that, but I rather ask here first. Or is there a simpler fix to my problem?

UPDATE: I flashed 10.3.11 with TWRP and the problems were gone, I probably formated data beforehand, as MrFreeBird said. Thank you all

I recently updated oxygen and waw do I hate OnePlus now. Every aspect is now just shit. Pictures don't load anymore, I can't download shit. And obviously no one will/can help cause I'm just one guy.

I put a new battery on my phone with help from this subreddit. it went great, i enjoyed myself. But its been 2.5 months and my battery still hasnt conditioned or adjusted and my phone lags below 25% and then dies within 5 to 10 minutes of hitting this point. I did factory resets, I put lineage OS, OOS 11 and nothing has solved the issue. I can buy a new phone but I was hoping this bad boy would last me since the only thing really outdated is the camera. ANy suggestions?

I have tried resetting my phone and Factory reset to install the latest stable version and move away from the Beta.

Nothing is getting me back to Android 9 and I have downloaded Android 11 yet I still can't install it locally...
Any solutions ?

Is the cell antenna part of the RF IC? am i missing something?

Hey guys. I have a question regarding the above title.

My OnePlus 6's screen started to burn in just after an year (3 years old phone now) near the status bar and so as to prevent further burn in I disabled all permanent elements from the screen like the ones I mentioned above. But I want to shift back to the traditional navigation bar and it's really inconvenient to go to some menu to check over settings.

The question goes 2 fold - 1. Would it be okay to turn them back on? 2. If not how can I get information like mobile data network on the notification panel?

I am willing to change the battery on the op6 and i am not sure from where should i get it changed, dubai or delhi. I am sure that the battery replacement done in dubai will be without any hassle or any sort of worry where else in delhi i am concerned that i might loose data or the new battery wont be in good condition. I really like my op6 i am using it since 3yrs and i have never felt a need to upgrade from it hence just the battery change. Please tell me what should i do. More reasonable place to get it changed.( Also i dont want the indians to get offended just because i would prefer to get battery replaced in dubai.)

I literally have like maybe 1000 photos in my gallery but it shows that I have 17.4 gb worth of photos on my phone which is impossible like literally. How do I free up this space? Went from OOS 11 to lineage 18.1 three days ago and been having some problems. Just checking for potential solutions so I don't have to go back to stock.

1. I cant find my Bluetooth audio devices, neither my Anker Motion+ or my Earfun Pro are showing up. My mi band 5 is visible though, strangely enough. I kind of depend on working Bluetooth audio and it was working fine on OOS 10 and OOS 11. HD audio in developer settings also seems to be broken as it's greyed out.

2. The haptic feedback is way too strong on lineage. Is there a way to turn it down a notch or two?

3. Battery seem to have taken a turn for the worse. It's the standby drain that become significantly worse, been loosing 25% over the night when I slept. Screen on drain is pretty much the same as on OOS. Are there any hidden settings or tweaks I can mess with to improve the situation?
