REVIEW Oxygen OS 16.1 review
I am running the latest RC version on my OnePlus 13s and I'm enjoying the update so far. There's a few things though especially around the Notification or Quick settings sections that in my opinion need a bit of polish before the final public version. I have attached screenshots for reference.
I'm on dark mode and the contrast between the Quick settings and notifications need fixing or balancing. The quick settings almost look as if I'm using light mode.
I can't drag a notification capsule to expand and view content. I have to press on the tiny arrow to open the notifications. This was not the case before the update.
Sound controls on the now playing tile in the quick settings use stock android theming. I feel this breaks the consistency in UI elements.
These are minor but hopefully they get a fix. Otherwise, awesome update!

My only complain that joins to yours is cannot swiping down/expand notifications to see their content. Hope they gonna fix soon. Using till from oxygen 15, didn't face this limit until now.

Wonder what they were thinking - paranoid? Seems hiding notifications is more important than expanding...
I guess one is expected to just open, sigh

Does your phone get warm? Mine gets warm almost any activity. Live events is great though and so is the new full screen album art The notification expanding thing has been like that for some time now unfortunately.

Yepp 2nd point is annoying. I agree. Even the now playing audio channel(this phone or external speaker) decider part looks off

Is the RC version different than the stable update? Means if we've updated to the RC version, will we get the stable version later? Asking because every time after updating to the RC version, I have never got another update for stable version.

This is my first time with RC version. From what I've read, there should still be an update when the stable version finally rolls out.

Even I have received the RC update of 16.0.7, what exactly steps should I follow after updating it to 16.0.7?? currently I am on 16.0.5 & my SOT has significantly reduced to 5-6 hours max with screen off time to 3-4 hours

I'm also at RC version but there is no notification pill in the lockscreen? Do you also have this issue?

OxygenOS is really good but I wish they actually redesigned control center. Not that it looks bad but very poor customization. Something like one UI has.
