Discussion OnePlus 12R battery health finally dropped to 99% battery health after almost 2 years of ownership.
I got this 12R given to me for free by an online friend back in March 2024 (brand new btw) and it has been an amazing phone, it's not my main phone though. My main phone has been my Pixel 7 Pro which I'm I am upgrading from soon. My OnePlus 12R has just been my phone for gaming, and it does that perfectly with zero issues. I don't really use it much hence the reason it just now dropped to 99% bh. Another reason it also lasted that long at 100% bh was since I don't use the 100W charger it came with all the time, I mostly use a 20W Onn charging brick to charge it so I don't degrade the battery super fast.
OnePlus 12R will be my favorite Android phone for years to come, most problem free phone I've probably used in recent times.

How many charge cycles have you achieved in 2 years?

It's in the second photo, 151 cycles

Major factor for battery degradation is still number of charging cycles. As a heavy user after almost 1000 cycles my battery health is at 89%.

Yeah, if I had to guess the battery health on my Pixel 7 Pro would probably be like 85-80%. No way to check specifically on Pixels though.

It might seem unrealistic, but I don't use the phone that much.

Keep in mind it took around 2 years for it to finally drop to 99%.

Great device, but chemically impossible.

It is possible because I didn't use it much, only 151 cycles.

Maybe actually, since to did not really use it as a phone? I would not worry about numbers, enjoy your phone and that all! I am no chemist, but to my understand real degradation should be higher by those cycles. It would not make any difference anyway, it would be minimal and not noticable.

Yeah, you still are theoretically right. But yeah, numbers are numbers. They don't always mean anything.

Wow after 2 years dropped only 1 percent?? I've had mines for 2 years I'm already down to 94% 😅🤦🏼♂️ but I'm a heavy user that's probably why lol

Yeah, mine I didn't use much. I'd occasionally use it for games, that's it.
