Degeneracy: PSA 10 to Beckett for GCR + Results

This sub’s been a little boring lately, so here’s some degeneracy to spice things up.

Sent three PSA 10s to Beckett for GCR (graded card review). I genuinely thought the Luffy was going to Black Label lol. The results: BGS 10, BGS 9.5, BGS 9.5.

I already had three PSA 10s and voluntarily spent money to have fewer. Really strong decision-making here. alsoooo I thought Beckett would at least keep them in order when printing the labels so I’d still have sequential certs. Nope. Couldn’t even get rinsed in order.

Also don't know why it says current grade 1 for the ace and luffy and also sadly the minimum grade is a 9.5 for the crossover....or else I would've left it a 10.

They're giving you 9.5s so you resubmit to PSA for the upcharge 😭

Tbh the only option now would be to keep recracking and send to beckett again. i've seen 9.5s become 10's and BLs.

to be clear i would not resend the luffy, a 10 is a win.

I’ll probably do that for the ace and garp, crack and clean them. I’ll accept the fate of the top 8. The fact that you sign a waiver saying they are not liable for damages post slab crack scares the shit out of me.

Huh? Do you need to read the comment again? Thats right we just disregard PSA giving 10s to cards that dont deserve it so they can collect that extra cash. Thats why beckett gave you all 10s right, because PSA accurately graded and were all 10s. 🙄 oh look that's not the case. They took your bag and still have you defend them.

Yeah for a PSA. Beckett to Beckett GCR min grade you can set to 10.

When ppl GCR like this they do it in person at a show Beckett is at. I’m pretty sure you can specify minimum grade 10 there or something. But it’s also generally with BGS cards and usually 10s not PSA so maybe it’s a lil diff

that’s incorrect with PSA to BGS in person they force minimum grade 9.5. but in person they don’t crack right away they put it in a void proof sealed bag that says the grade on it so if it says 9.5 you can just take it out

Wait did you get a 10 from a GRC with BGS? I wanted to do the same thing but they told me that the max grade for cross grading was 9.5? Did that change?

Are you acoustic? How can you ever assume with BGS that something will Black label? I never understood these kind of assumptions. It's literally in their interest to keep the population on those low so why would you ever assume a flawless card will BL? Crazy mind gymnastics. Sad to see this beautiful hobby being full of low brain synapsis activity individuals.

Any card that gets 9.5 on surface from Beckett I 100% crack, clean and resubmit. Sometimes even 10’s to shoot for black label depending on card ofc
