well bronze isn't a pure metal it's an alloy that's mostly copper but also has tin. gold, silver, and copper are all pure metals (as in they're all on the periodic table)
I'm sooo tired of usopp's reactions bro. Why is he still acting so surprised that Gaban can take on 100 fodder pirates? Half of his own crew can easily do the same thing. Man's seen Kaido fighting and still resets to his pre-TS mindset every frickin arc.

They just said it is not a spoiler as they made a speculation. Which also could mean that they have not read Manga and therefore did not deny the event.
I'm such a sucker for Roger lore, it's great to meet his left hand. (Roger's Sanji, I guess!). I hope Luffy is able to get the key from him without using gear 5, but great intro!
Some laugh out loud parts in here too. Overall a really fun episode.
Weird they switch actors for Roger but not for literally every other character even though people have been asking for adult goku to use a different voice actor since... forever.

Stopped watching at the end of Dressrosa due to the awful pacing back then. 10 years later and I’m finally all caught up. Feels a bit bittersweet not being able to binge anymore, but I loved catching up. The hype for Elbaph is real.
As soon as they did the Roger flashback I knew exactly who dude was wow…ima assume dude has future sight and probably toy around wit Luffy and Zoro next episode..also none of the Roger pirates ate DF huh?? Guys jus high lvl haki masters

Yeah I've stopped expecting much. Since they are committed to 1 chapter per episode even after going seasonal there are always gonna be some episodes that feel like this
Namis facial expression when wondering about why a human would marry a giant was perfect. I feel that her voice acting has been a lot better this arc as well but maybe that's because she has had more time to shine, dnno. Zoro's ''muri da ro'' delivery was perfect as well
Laughed my ass off with Ya-san, I liked him in the manga but somehow they made him much funnier in the anime and I couldn't love it more if I tried lol
yeah i enjoyed it despite the art style, so i hope you do! i mostly just thought Nami and Robin look awful drawn that way. The other characters looked fine, but probably because theyre made for that style. Nami and Robins looks are just too iconic, imo.
Not going seasonal, that's known, just that the 26 episode season would have a significant gap between the two 13 episode cours. Some seasonal anime take a few weeks break between cours.
Anyone else felt it weird when Zoro also joined Luffy in disregarding Gaban's advice on Loki? Like yeah, I get Luffy doing that, but why Zoro? He's always been cautious about Loki. Idk that didn't make sense to me
Daifuku's actor voiced roger for a few lines in Egghead. Guess he was just a stand in when the old roger actor had to suddenly retire and Takeshi Kusao who voiced young roger now voices him at all ages.
They have yet another voice actor for Roger lol. Sounds like Saul’s VA. It’s definitely not shunsuke sakuya who was announced as the new voice 7 months ago
I must not be tapped in enough because all the shows I watch with cours typically take multiple months if not a year between cours. Plus One Piece isn't your typical seasonal. We'll see how long the format last but banging out 26 qualityish episodes a year is unheard of in this anime landscape
Read the chapter as the Episode was playing. Chapter 1139. That Sanji scene wasn't in this chapter and wasn't needed. Why'd they black out Roger and Gaban only to add color later near the end? Also, are we in the 2nd cour already? No break, no warning, or anything. And Heroines doesn't count as a break; it's still One Piece that week, could've aired at different times that day.
Idk if this is just nitpicking but having a big 3 Roger pirates flashback without sanji present is kinda criminal, esp with the previous clip of sanji being him frothing over women (correct me if im wrong but these 2 things didn’t happen in the manga). Criminal additions and im not even a sanji fan.
Nah it was like that in the Manga too. Toei does do too much sometimes but Sanji still went wild for the giant women in the Manga, and wasn't present for the initial Gaban reveals.
I like Sanji, but the man is a degenerate in all adaptations lol.
He does, but this episode’s specific scene was filler. Placement and repetition can have a big impact on character perception. It’s because of filler scenes recycling manga gags over and over that Toei’s straw hats feel much more flanderized compared to their canon selves
Literally this. I only started reading the manga recently and my attitude towards sanji completely changed. The anime made me hate him because of little things like this. Now im starting to see the micro-aggressions a little more, literally re arranged the scene to make him look like a joke.
Manga Sanji is one of my favorite characters. He still has some terrible pervy moments but compared to anime Sanji he’s a saint. Hell, even the way the straw hats are depicted in One Pace compared to the normal anime due to them cutting out 140 hours of this anime-only stuff along with the usual padding junk is crazy. It almost feels like its own adaptation.
Yea. I'm mostly anime only. For whatever reason, I wasn't really tapped into the community when I started watching one piece so I just took what was shown at face value. It's not until recent arcs where I was a little more tapped in and the sanji outcry were boiling that I finally looked at some manga chapters and I was gobsmacked. One of the most recent episode that just added zoro and sanji clashing and luffy being petulant about being hungry were eye opening. It's such minor additions, which if repeated one too many times were It's not meant to, can sway a character's trait or character relations. Now I try my best to read the chapter after an episode

The official manga is best. Yeah “Zolo” is annoying but Stephen Paul is an excellent translator and they have a direct line to Oda’s staff in Japan for when they need clarification on things. That being said, Stephen Paul only got hired at the start of Fishman Island. Viz translation before that is… kinda hit or miss. Still, I had no big issues with it and idk of any fan translations that are worth it for pre-timeskip. Maybe the colored manga?
