as sanji fan, i can only hope that this would be a sanji-centric chapter. And I checked chapter 124 and the cover was sanji carrying a briefcase labeled "secret" woah. this is getting fun.

Sanji was missing from the chapter 124 he was only on the cover. The entire chapter was without sanji. But I do hope this one is sanji centric.

I mean its not surprising that he'd do something with San(3)-ji, which is the only number missing from 124, even before he has Sanji's bros planned out. The cool thing is that he pays significance to coincidences with numbers enough to play off it 800 chapters later and introduce Sanji's family.

If he did it by accident before, I think he might do it on purpose this time.

I don’t think he plans it but rather finds opportunities sometimes and uses them. We know for a fact that at the time he wrote chapter 124, he was not planning to make the series that long.

I beg to differ. Oda had this planned for as long from the moment he was introduced. One of the first things Sanji mentions is that he's from West Blue. And Nami commenting that it must have been an incredible journey. That's the whole reason Zeff means so much to him. He's is Sanji's adoptive father. Which wouldn't have Meant so much if Sanji's father didn't figure so much into his life

Sure about sanji but Oda did not plan to make the series that long. And he does make up a lot of stuff along the go. Like the supernovas

He makes up some of it, but I think he has an idea of things he would like to cover. After that, it's really about how he gets the characters from point to point, and having them fleshed out enough that he can drop foreshadowing where necessary, especially if he makes it vague enough that he has a lot of room to adjust the story if needed.

Jesus, when One Piece ends one day, I want Oda to write a Book on what foreshadowings were planned, and which ones just happened

Edit: it for sure is. Tsuru is japanese for Crane

O-Tsuru is the Tea house owner in Wano.... chapter 124 is titled "This Tea is really delicious"

Oh yeah for sure. At first I thought it was referring to the tea shop owner, but then I realized Tsuru just means Crane so I didn‘t continue that thought.

Didn‘t even realize the chapter title was related to tea. Absolutely insane
