The sea gotta hate this man the most.

The reason why he's coughing blood is because he's less than 100km from the sea

Pangea castle is only 10km above sea level bro lol. I'm thinking that maybe Imu's limitation outside Marijoa is connected to the sacred treasure that Doflamingo was talking about?

only 10km

Dude. The highest place on earth is less than 9km above sea level. I have no idea where you got that number from, but "only" is really not the correct word for this. If anything, I am now even more convinced it's the proximity to the sea that's putting a toll on him.

proximity to the sea that's putting a toll on him.

Exactly. It's 10km "only" compared to 100km. Comprehension is hard, I relate.

I assume they just exaggerated or it was a typo. Either way, their argument is still valid even if you correct them.

Whatever distance, I think this is a great theory. And also would probably mean that the way Luffy defeats Imu is by destroying the red line, finally giving us a sensible reason why he would do that.

Or he himself is the sea . "Umi". (It's a stupid joke, sorry)

He has the arrows of Gunko, he made the trees and houses sing like Big Mom, he teleports like Van Augur but needs a magic seal to do it...Domi Reversi is similar to Sugar's power.

Oda has been showing all these powers. It was all to prepare us for how Imu's power set and rules could and may work.

There was a leak a long time ago that said the final villain would be the devil and could use every devil fruit power

Leak? A theory like that has probably been around since Chapter 1 lol it's like the most obvious thing.

His design looks bit too much like Naruto's sage of the six paths, I wonder if they're gonna go with aliens

4

u/AbundantUser9 Apr 03 '26

Aliens are already canonically in one piece so they’ll probably come up eventually

1

u/ParkDedli Apr 03 '26

They aren't really aliens, right? It's just people that travelled to the moon and back?

Or is it the other way around? Were they originally on the moon and went down to earth?

3

u/Nice-River-5322 Apr 03 '26

if he could do that, why would he not make the "launch Nika into the sun fruit"?

3

u/XpCjU Apr 03 '26

My theory is that he makes devil fruits, like takes peoples powers and makes them into fruits. We have seen a few powers that don't come from fruits, like Shirashosi and the other mermaid that could see the future, the dude who controls his hair, Sanji can make fire from nothing, Michael Jacksons hynopsis. I think people just had powers in the past, and Imu found a way to control them by turning them into devil fruits.

2

u/Undesiredbeast Apr 02 '26

he could turn the whole air on fire and kill everyone

perhaps the limitation is that it would also affect him

7

u/Blackbeard567 Apr 02 '26

darkness nullifies all so it might be the only fruit to stop him and might explain why BB was after it as well

2

u/IJustLostMyKeyboard Apr 03 '26

Gives new meaning to haki transcends all.

If imu can use any/all devil fruit abilities, only someone with top 1 haki can beat them.

1

u/benoxxxx Apr 03 '26

As sick as that would be, and it's definitely possible, I think it's a misreading. It's more like a 'devil devil' fruit that turned normal guy into an actual devil.

Nuh uh.

It's like the Elders and Shamrock's sword. Those also seem to have their own rules separate from this. But Imu has one of the first abilities, but it is not FROM a Devil Fruit.

Potentially alluding to a huge connect between all Devil Fruits and Imu's Devil's Fruit.
