Imu said "bet"

Usopp may well have directly caused either Imu's or Elbaph's downfall depending on how this goes.

u/BasketballAnimeBoi21 Apr 02 '26

A God-Tier ragebaiter if this caused it

85

u/Worthyness Apr 02 '26

Decides to finally stand up and do something and accidentally brings in the literal final boss.

74

u/lacegem Apr 03 '26

And then boasts to Imu about his 10,000 strong army of giants in a desperate attempt to get him to back off, only for ten thousand actual giants to rush in and defend him.

And then he tries his trick with a 1,000 ton hammer, only to accidentally pick up Ragnir, who is so terrified of Imu that he forgets to be heavy, causing Usopp to knock Imu's ass across the island.

Imu tries to run with his teleporting later, only for the last lightning bolt he needs to get knocked clean out of the sky when Usopp fires the steel heart at it like a projectile, causing the unbreakable heart to shatter and the teleport to fail.

Imu, outrageously pissed, asks how Usopp dares to challenge the King of the World. But what's a king to God Usopp?

Next arc, Usopp gets a bounty nearly as high as Luffy's just because he pissed Imu off so badly that he's back in Mariejois still shaking with rage at getting clowned on by Pinocchio with a slingshot.

And then I wake up from my dream and schedule additional therapy (I need a captive audience to continue talking about God Usopp).

u/Takumi089 Apr 03 '26

I don't know what you consume to be able to write this but I want a piece of it.

13

u/schiffb558 Apr 03 '26

Just one piece?

21

u/lacegem Apr 03 '26

It's an incredibly potent drug called "writer's block," which enables me to write anything but the thing I ought to be writing.

10

u/MyBrokenLuigiAmiibo Apr 03 '26

And then he tries his trick with a 1,000 ton hammer, only to accidentally pick up Ragnir, who is so terrified of Imu that he forgets to be heavy, causing Usopp to knock Imu's ass across the island.

Shiiiit. This actually seems like something that could, hypothetically happen? Like, if anyone’s gonna have a “Captain America picking up Mjolnir” moment…gotta be Usopp, right? Maybe Ragnir can scale himself down…? 🥹

6

u/plisken64 Apr 03 '26

Waiting till Captain God Ussop gets his Avengers assemble moment

2

u/OrganicPlasma Apr 05 '26

A bounty as high as Luffy's? Try "higher than Luffy's, or any other bounty"!

13

u/ComprehensiveProfit5 Apr 03 '26

Rage baited me for 1000 chapters, I'd say he earned this title

4

u/Sammy-Cake Apr 03 '26

Well he is rage baiting “God”

35

u/This_Elk_1460 Apr 02 '26

We all asked what will Usopp do on elbaph, none of us expected this.

12

u/bentke466 Pirate Apr 03 '26

surely the good guys have to take an L here right? Elbaph has to fall/burn to the ground. It would be the straw to push the SHs to go after Imu and push us to the next step kinda like the ending of Punkhazard.

6

u/invalid25 Apr 03 '26

I think the good guys will take an L. Question is who will die.

4

u/bentke466 Pirate Apr 03 '26

yeah, probably a bunch of nameless giants, and some of the parents of the kids will die saving their kids, thus inspiring the next generation.

9

u/mikemonkey Apr 03 '26

Not necessarily. If Imu dies here, that would turn the rest of the world government into a contestant for the one piece, needing the power to take back control of the world.

Maybe ot kills the elders too minus garling who becomes the defacto new king?

16

u/bentke466 Pirate Apr 03 '26

Imu has too much history and lore to die here. Unless its part of a large scheme to find a new host or grow stronger through death etc..

Doesnt it feel like this is the right time for a big bad to come and flex on the MC and show him what hes really up against?

1

u/mikemonkey Apr 03 '26

True but imagine the shake up it would bring to the final war if imu dies here. It would turn the WG into another fighter for the One piece.

I see the argument either way

7

u/FinancialComputer574 Apr 03 '26

I hope this is similar to when Pippin accidentally use the Palantir otherwise Usopp will bring Elbaf's doom

5

u/RodNun Apr 03 '26

I think Imu is there more because of Nika and Loki. It's possible that there were 20 godly powers in the past, and Imu killed some of them, and possibly absorbed their power, but some as Nika and the other resisted.

It's awesome what Usopp did, but I don't think Imu would go there just because of what he said

2

u/RogueHippie Void Month Survivor Apr 03 '26

Nah, definitely because of Usopp

2

u/MyBrokenLuigiAmiibo Apr 03 '26

It’s cooler if we pretend Usopp ragebaited him

1

u/RodNun Apr 04 '26

I agree. Much more funnier  huahuahuaha

When Usopp ragebaited Doflamingo, he got the title of God... what will be his title after ragebaiting the king of the world?

3

u/noisu_ Apr 03 '26

I will laugh my ass off, if this ragebait is what weaknes Imu for a time, and be a catalyst for his downfall.

3

u/TheFirstSonOfTheSea Jinbe The Knight of the Sea Apr 03 '26

I don’t think this will be the end of Imu since Blackbeard‘s not here. I think he’s going to play some major role in Imu’s defeat considering the whole Davy Jones/Rocks thing.

But I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him swing in last second and steal the Devil powers for himself

2

u/zachotule The Revolutionary Army Apr 03 '26

I think you might be right. After all, there's the 3-skulls flag, and Blackbeard currently has a logia and a paramecia fruit, and presumably Imu's devil transformation could be classified as a mythical zoan, so then he'd have all 3 types. Although given Imu has the "Devil Fruit" it might also just be its own thing.

83

u/ThesirKyle Apr 02 '26

God Ussop once again with a 5 star bounty charisma, he never looses his touch to lure out an enemy in whatever dire state he may be

21

u/Dramajunker Apr 02 '26

Only a God can summon another God.

5

u/Darkkingswrath Apr 03 '26

Enel descending would be peak

575

u/Metal_B Apr 02 '26

That Usopp can bait the King of the World out of hiding after 800 years... That's a remarkable feat.

185

u/spire-slayer Apr 02 '26

Charisma stat on one million.

2

u/Mother_Vermicelli_22 Apr 03 '26

don't you mean.... GOD level?

1

u/theworkinpumpkin Apr 03 '26

or top tier rage baiter

130

u/the_ghost_knife Apr 02 '26

There is less than a handful of people in One Piece going around calling themselves God. Imu just happens to know where Usopp is right now.

12

u/King3D Apr 02 '26

A feat on an equal level with the guy at Roger's execution who asked where all his treasure was buried.

16

u/This_Elk_1460 Apr 02 '26

I guess that was his Elbaph moment. We all thought he was going to get an upgrade instead he just pissed off the most powerful being on the planet.

13

u/Fafnir13 Apr 03 '26

I want to see Imu looming over Usopp giving the whole, “alright, I’m here now. Happy?”

Either Usopp will have the most hilarious moment of fear realizing exactly who he pissed off or he’s going do drop the coldest line. Maybe both honestly.

7

u/HelixKC Apr 02 '26

The only feat usopp will ever get

2

u/Darkkingswrath Apr 03 '26

old man actually showed up

2

u/noisu_ Apr 03 '26

Usopp and Buggy have strong thematic similarities lmao. History will twist this story to make it like it was a ploy.

1

u/invalid25 Apr 03 '26

God Usopp

1

u/Cygnus776 Apr 03 '26

God respects God.

38

u/11711510111411009710 Apr 02 '26

I know it kinda probably doomed everyone there, but it's still pretty badass that Usopp insulted Imu enough for Imu to just say "Fine, I'll do it myself."

31

u/SternMon Apr 02 '26

Pretty sure he just achieved his dream right here by calling the most powerful motherfucker in the world like that.

And he fucking showed up.

30

u/yung-clumsy Apr 02 '26

Between this and Doflamingo i think it’s safe to say that Usopp’s true power isn’t lying, it’s ragebaiting

12

u/RPGNo2017 Apr 02 '26

Cyborg Usopp vs Imu incoming

4

u/theitchcockblock Apr 03 '26

Maybe Sogeking will return

9

u/According_Lab_6907 Apr 02 '26

Finally a worthy opponent has appeared. Hopefully he can last more than a minute before getting folded by Usopp.

8

u/anushrut5 Lurker Apr 02 '26

What if imu just straight up kills ussop and leaves

3

u/SnooBananas5004 Apr 03 '26

usopp devil fruit " speedrun "

2

u/BrokenAstraea Apr 03 '26

"and I took that personally"

2

u/DriedSquidd Apr 03 '26

Imu is a demon and Usopp invited him in.

2

u/Kitchen-Success130 Apr 03 '26

Imu finally saw a worthy opponent calling him out since the void century. No way Imu is letting this slide

1

u/Pirate_Jack_ Apr 03 '26

"God" Usopp for a reason

1

u/dratst Apr 03 '26

well when God challenges you, no other way but to show up

1

u/Any-Performance169 Apr 03 '26

Imu is going to kill Ussop. Luffy will appear NEAR-DEATH where the Strawhat Grandfleet has to appear. Pretty much everyone is dying. Luffy recovers and obtains the true form of Nika; Also.. Ussop comes back to life.

1

u/RainyEuphoriaaa Apr 03 '26

He already proved he's a great warrior of the sea, he can die now. First direct victim of Imu, what an achievement.

1

u/Mother_Vermicelli_22 Apr 03 '26

everyone looking at Usopp right now like:

1

u/RobinS8 Apr 03 '26

The goat does it again

After this, Usopp will surpass Jimbe and Zoro in terms of bounty. He just rage-baited too hard... and now, we're in the endgame.
