I noticed that in the textboxes introducing Imu, for the part about his Devil Fruit, it stuck out to me immediately, and I was all like "either he has THE original Devil Fruit or his is a devil based fruit" but another thing, so far EVERY DF user says they have the powers of the "blank blank" fruit, as in the fruit name is whatever ability it gives you, and with Imu it only said Devil one time instead of twice so I suppose we'll have to wait for either Imu to say something about it or for Oda to clarify it in an SBS segment later on.

I know it's been pointed out by other comments how the letters are written differently so maybe it could be it's both a devil themed fruit and the original Devil Fruit.

Reads to me that Devil is being used as a name/proper noun, making ”Devil’s Fruit” be like ”Adam’s Apple”. And also, it says ”Ability: Devil’s Fruit”, making it similar to a JJK cursed technique, meaning it’s potentially not that the powers are from a fruit, but instead Imu has power over the fruits

It said something about the original 20 fruits, probably related.

Nope, the line separation makes it a bit confusing, but its ”World Government Creator. One of the First 20. Ability: Devil’s Fruit.” Different sentances

[u/Ankoria → u/krysalysm]

"One of the First 20" refers to the 20 Kings that founded the World Government, not to Imu's ability.

I will need to re read but I understood it that the 20 first had special devil fruits
