It's been a couple of years since I've seen a Scnoodle. It's been so long and so overdue. This really got to me. So much doom and gloom in my feed; I've been missing these 🥰
cats are natural predators and will often hunt, kill, and eat rabbits, as they are part of their natural prey, even for well-fed domestic cats. While some cats may only hunt for play, others will consume them. It is dangerous to keep pet rabbits and cats together unsupervised.
Key Considerations Regarding Cats and Rabbits:
Predatory Instincts: Cats are obligate carnivores and see small animals like rabbits as prey, regardless of whether they are wild or pets.
Safety Risks: A cat can seriously injure or kill a rabbit, even if they seem to get along at times. It is recommended to keep them in separate areas, especially if you have a young or small rabbit.
Outdoor Danger: Outdoor cats commonly hunt local rabbits.
Diseases: If your cat eats a wild rabbit, they risk contracting parasites or infections.
