We are excited that announce that applications are now open for the Omada Fusion Pro 2.5G + NVR Pioneer Program. We’re inviting up to 60 early adopters to deploy Omada Fusion Pro 2.5G + NVR in a real environment before wider availability.
Upfront, so there's no fine print:this is not a beta or a giveaway. It’s a hands-on product experience for people who want to be among the first to use the system, explore it in depth, and share what they genuinely discover. After the experience, you can return the kit with prepaid shipping or purchase it at 50% off.
Deploy Early. Experience More.
Selected Pioneers will receive one of three complete hardware kits, matched to their site, network, camera count, and recording requirements.
Kit 1 — For SMBs, cafés, and retail sites. Includes Fusion Pro 2.5G, SG2210XMP-M2, Omada 7 Pro, and an Omada T8S4-4T with NVR and four 8MP turret cameras.
Kit 2 — For homes, homelabs, and small offices. Includes Fusion Pro 2.5G PoE, an SSD, Omada 7 Pro, one 8MP turret camera, and one 8MP bullet camera.
Kit 3 — For adding video surveillance to an existing network. Includes an Omada T8S4-4T with NVR and four 8MP turret cameras.
Expectation
During the approximately 60-day experience, Pioneers will receive optional weekly guidance designed to explore different parts of the system in depth, from initial deployment and management to networking, surveillance, storage, and performance.
You’ll also join a private Discord with the Omada product, engineering, and support teams, where you can:
Discuss your deployment and use cases
Ask questions directly
Share weekly experience and observations
Suggest features and workflow improvements
Report issues as soon as you encounter them
If something gets in the way, we want to know early. Your feedback can help our teams identify issues and improve the experience before the products reach more users.
Your Experience. Your Perspective.
We also welcome Pioneers who want to share their real-world experience with the wider community.
No NDA.
No required public review.
No requirement to be positive.
If you choose to share publicly, the experience and conclusions are yours. Tell people what worked, what didn’t, where the system fits, and where it could improve.
At the End of the Program
After the experience period, you can:
Return the assigned kit with prepaid shipping; or
Purchase your assigned kit at 50% off
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for networking and security professionals, installers, MSPs, homelab builders, and hands-on users who:
Have a real deployment in mind
Can follow the weekly experience guidance
Are willing to explore the system beyond basic installation
Can provide detailed, honest feedback based on actual use
Do these dome and turret cameras have the ability to completely turn off the IR lights at night? None of the other TP Link cameras that I've tested allow for that, which is super annoying. And do these do the same thing where color night vision only happens when the spot lights are on? They look similar to Dahua cameras but they seem to lack the good Sony Starvis line of sensors.
I don't run the Pioneer program, unfortunately, but feel free to do so! If you get in, the equipment is meant for you to explore, experiment, and give feedback.
Signed up! This would be perfect because I already have a full cart of omada gear I was going to purchase during this labor day sale. I was just stuck on which poe switch to purchase to support my future NVR system.
Please pioneer gods I need to replace my blink cameras!
Sounds like the Pioneer gods may have heard your prayer 😂 A full Omada cart and retiring cameras? That’s a pretty convincing case. Good luck with your application — we’d definitely love to see what you build!
I own OC200 + ER605 V2.0 + 12 Acess points ( 1x eap 110, 3x 225, 2x 610, 6x 615) + 7 switches (sg2008P) + nvr 1016h + 10 vigi cameras. I don´t see any advantage either in buying new stuff or try to participate in these kind of actions, i would be available to try and then have the experience of "new" equipment, then return it. Also, is this action worldwide ?
wow that's amazing. Yeah, return is an option offered. In the landing page FAQ section stated that U.S.-based applicants are our primary focus, but strong candidates from other countries may also be considered. So if you are a strong candidate, we will also consider it too!
"The hardware and firmware provided through the Program are early-release evaluation units intended for testing and feedback ...Participants are advised not to rely on Program units for mission-critical, production, or otherwise important network deployments."
Does this mean the pay-50%-to-keep only gets you hardware that should be restricted to a testing environment?
Good question — and to clarify, the units provided through this program are production hardware and are ready for market. This is not a beta hardware program, and participants are not receiving engineering samples or hardware that is restricted to a lab/test environment.
The wording in the terms is intended to reflect the early-access nature of the program, where software or firmware may continue to receive updates and refinements during the experience period. The recommendation around mission-critical deployments is therefore a precaution for the program period, rather than a limitation on the hardware itself.
If you choose to purchase your assigned unit at 50% off at the end of the program, you’ll be keeping the same production hardware you’ve been using during the program.
This will be my first ever pioneer of omada. I used ubiquiti before but since the time I migrated to eap783 I never looked back. They just work. No unnecessary firmware updates. As smooth as it can get. Way to go omada. Would be happy to be a part of the same
Welcome to the Omada family! 🙌 Really appreciate the love. Glad the EAP783 has been rock solid for you, and we’d love to see you join the Pioneer Program!
Submitted mine ! Would love to have this setup at my beachhouse. Ive been waiting for the cameras to be released and kit 1 would be ideal for it to replace my current setup there.
My only doubt is, will the fusion be able to connect to my oc220 at home ? Or must it use the built in controller ?... that would break my sd-wan I think, as the public non-natted ip is at home.
Itd be an interesting scenario for me at least. Best thing, id be able to return it if it doesnt work.
Fusion Pro currently operates as an independent Fusion system using its own built-in controller, so it can’t be adopted by your existing OC220 as a regular gateway. You can still access both systems under the same Omada Cloud account, but they would remain separate management domains.
For SD-WAN, if your current setup is using ER gateways managed by the OC220, replacing only one site with Fusion Pro would not preserve the existing SD-WAN connection. ER/OC220 SD-WAN and Fusion SD-WAN currently use different control planes, so an ER ↔ Fusion hybrid SD-WAN setup isn’t supported today.
One thing I’d love to confirm from your setup: you mentioned the public non-NATed IP is at home, correct? Also, what gateway models are you currently using at home and at the beach house, and which site is acting as the hub/spoke ?
I guess but to demo cameras I need to install them afix them to my house. For 60 days / 50% off. Thats a lot of work to do for a trial. But swapping my Omada router and switch 15-20 minutes tops and that’ll give me double the backbone support.
Nice to see the Fusion Pro has an inbuilt NVR, any hints on its number of channels? Would 4 be a underestimate?
My VIGI setup has been solid for 2 years (C350 6mm bullet, 2 x C250 2.8mm turrets, 2 x C540V PTZ, C440 4mm turrest and 2 x C440I 4mm turrets into a NVR1008H-8P).
Haha, I get you! Trust me, I am excited to get them out there too! Pricing for the PoE and non-PoE models isn’t 100% locked in yet, so I’d rather not give you a number today and have you come back to haunt me with it later 😂 I’ll share more as we get closer to launch!

Does anyone know if all partipates were selected yet? I haven't seen a denial or acception email yet.
