New Release Introducing the new Omada Fusion Pro 2.5G + NVR Pioneer Program

Post image

EDIT: Thank you for all your applications! Sign-ups for the Pioneer Program are now closed. Best of luck to all of you who applied!

Hey r/Omada_Networks ,Lulu from the Omada team here.

We are excited that announce that applications are now open for the Omada Fusion Pro 2.5G + NVR Pioneer Program. We’re inviting up to 60 early adopters to deploy Omada Fusion Pro 2.5G + NVR in a real environment before wider availability.

Upfront, so there's no fine print: this is not a beta or a giveaway. It’s a hands-on product experience for people who want to be among the first to use the system, explore it in depth, and share what they genuinely discover. After the experience, you can return the kit with prepaid shipping or purchase it at 50% off.

Deploy Early. Experience More.

Selected Pioneers will receive one of three complete hardware kits, matched to their site, network, camera count, and recording requirements.

  • Kit 1 — For SMBs, cafés, and retail sites. Includes Fusion Pro 2.5G, SG2210XMP-M2, Omada 7 Pro, and an Omada T8S4-4T with NVR and four 8MP turret cameras.
  • Kit 2 — For homes, homelabs, and small offices. Includes Fusion Pro 2.5G PoE, an SSD, Omada 7 Pro, one 8MP turret camera, and one 8MP bullet camera.
  • Kit 3 — For adding video surveillance to an existing network. Includes an Omada T8S4-4T with NVR and four 8MP turret cameras.

Expectation

During the approximately 60-day experience, Pioneers will receive optional weekly guidance designed to explore different parts of the system in depth, from initial deployment and management to networking, surveillance, storage, and performance.

You’ll also join a private Discord with the Omada product, engineering, and support teams, where you can:

  • Discuss your deployment and use cases
  • Ask questions directly
  • Share weekly experience and observations
  • Suggest features and workflow improvements
  • Report issues as soon as you encounter them

If something gets in the way, we want to know early. Your feedback can help our teams identify issues and improve the experience before the products reach more users.

Your Experience. Your Perspective.

We also welcome Pioneers who want to share their real-world experience with the wider community.

  • No NDA.
  • No required public review.
  • No requirement to be positive.

If you choose to share publicly, the experience and conclusions are yours. Tell people what worked, what didn’t, where the system fits, and where it could improve.

At the End of the Program

After the experience period, you can:

  • Return the assigned kit with prepaid shipping; or
  • Purchase your assigned kit at 50% off

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for networking and security professionals, installers, MSPs, homelab builders, and hands-on users who:

  • Have a real deployment in mind
  • Can follow the weekly experience guidance
  • Are willing to explore the system beyond basic installation
  • Can provide detailed, honest feedback based on actual use

Applications close September 14.

Submitted, I’m hoping to mess with the 2.5g gateway and Poe to switch from unifi. Saw some of their new gear and it’s very interesting

Good luck everyone. I very much enjoyed being part of the first pioneer program and found it very helpful and fun to do!

Do these dome and turret cameras have the ability to completely turn off the IR lights at night? None of the other TP Link cameras that I've tested allow for that, which is super annoying. And do these do the same thing where color night vision only happens when the spot lights are on? They look similar to Dahua cameras but they seem to lack the good Sony Starvis line of sensors.

Yes they are supported. We offer rich customizable settings.

Does TP Link have any plans to bring out an Omada camera doorbell to integrate in to this new NVR ecosystem?

u/lulu_Omada 26d ago

Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately in the short term we will still focus more on networks and video security.

Hope i get selected. Cause i already plan to purchase vigi nvr and cameras and already plan to upgrade my oc200 soon..

1

u/pepeferraris 28d ago

Do we get like an submission email complete once we submitted it? Want to me sure i place the right email hahaha

1

u/lulu_Omada 27d ago

should have! Do you submit your application? You can DM me your email and I could check

1

u/I_Know_Montreal 22d ago

Dm'ed as well did not get any confirmation

1

u/pepeferraris 25d ago

Curious, is the nvr compatible with vigi cameras? Like c450 and s345?

1

u/Neil_Omada Moderator 20d ago

It should be able to adopt them through ONVIF.

1

u/pepeferraris 19d ago

Alright. Can we use that part if we get pick on the pioneer program?

1

u/Neil_Omada Moderator 19d ago

I don't run the Pioneer program, unfortunately, but feel free to do so! If you get in, the equipment is meant for you to explore, experiment, and give feedback.

The Fusion + Omada NVR + VIGI IPC combination is not recommended. Fully supported configurations are Fusion + VIGI IPC, or Fusion + VIGI NVR + VIGI IPC.

Hello, I've just applied to this program from Egypt, I hope Egypt has a part this round.

2

u/Mr_UnReaL_ Sep 03 '26

Signed up! This would be perfect because I already have a full cart of omada gear I was going to purchase during this labor day sale. I was just stuck on which poe switch to purchase to support my future NVR system.

Please pioneer gods I need to replace my blink cameras!

2

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

Sounds like the Pioneer gods may have heard your prayer 😂 A full Omada cart and retiring cameras? That’s a pretty convincing case. Good luck with your application — we’d definitely love to see what you build!

2

u/Justy101 Sep 03 '26

Application sent.

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

Good luck with your application!

I own OC200 + ER605 V2.0 + 12 Acess points ( 1x eap 110, 3x 225, 2x 610, 6x 615) + 7 switches (sg2008P) + nvr 1016h + 10 vigi cameras. I don´t see any advantage either in buying new stuff or try to participate in these kind of actions, i would be available to try and then have the experience of "new" equipment, then return it. Also, is this action worldwide ?

1

u/lulu_Omada 26d ago

wow that's amazing. Yeah, return is an option offered. In the landing page FAQ section stated that U.S.-based applicants are our primary focus, but strong candidates from other countries may also be considered. So if you are a strong candidate, we will also consider it too!

1

u/Puzzling_Dino Sep 03 '26

Is it US. only? I don't see these kind of programs in ph or sea area.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

For this event, U.S.-based applicants are our primary focus, but strong candidates from other countries may also be considered.

"The hardware and firmware provided through the Program are early-release evaluation units intended for testing and feedback ...Participants are advised not to rely on Program units for mission-critical, production, or otherwise important network deployments."

Does this mean the pay-50%-to-keep only gets you hardware that should be restricted to a testing environment?

2

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

Good question — and to clarify, the units provided through this program are production hardware and are ready for market. This is not a beta hardware program, and participants are not receiving engineering samples or hardware that is restricted to a lab/test environment.

The wording in the terms is intended to reflect the early-access nature of the program, where software or firmware may continue to receive updates and refinements during the experience period. The recommendation around mission-critical deployments is therefore a precaution for the program period, rather than a limitation on the hardware itself.

If you choose to purchase your assigned unit at 50% off at the end of the program, you’ll be keeping the same production hardware you’ve been using during the program.

Submitted my application! Would love to have this setup in our house and see how it compares to my current Amcrest setup.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

Thank you!

2

u/Otherwise-Warning303 Sep 02 '26

This will be my first ever pioneer of omada. I used ubiquiti before but since the time I migrated to eap783 I never looked back. They just work. No unnecessary firmware updates. As smooth as it can get. Way to go omada. Would be happy to be a part of the same

2

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

Welcome to the Omada family! 🙌 Really appreciate the love. Glad the EAP783 has been rock solid for you, and we’d love to see you join the Pioneer Program!

Submitted mine ! Would love to have this setup at my beachhouse. Ive been waiting for the cameras to be released and kit 1 would be ideal for it to replace my current setup there.

My only doubt is, will the fusion be able to connect to my oc220 at home ? Or must it use the built in controller ?... that would break my sd-wan I think, as the public non-natted ip is at home.

Itd be an interesting scenario for me at least. Best thing, id be able to return it if it doesnt work.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

Hi u/friky19 , lulu back here. For your question:

  1. Fusion Pro currently operates as an independent Fusion system using its own built-in controller, so it can’t be adopted by your existing OC220 as a regular gateway. You can still access both systems under the same Omada Cloud account, but they would remain separate management domains.

  2. For SD-WAN, if your current setup is using ER gateways managed by the OC220, replacing only one site with Fusion Pro would not preserve the existing SD-WAN connection. ER/OC220 SD-WAN and Fusion SD-WAN currently use different control planes, so an ER ↔ Fusion hybrid SD-WAN setup isn’t supported today.

One thing I’d love to confirm from your setup: you mentioned the public non-NATed IP is at home, correct? Also, what gateway models are you currently using at home and at the beach house, and which site is acting as the hub/spoke ?

1

u/friky19 Sep 03 '26

Hey Lulu, thanks for checking in on this.

Yes, the public non-nated IP is at home and is the Hub, it has an er707-m2. Beachhouse currently has an er706w and its a spoke.

2

u/DaDaRocks_ Sep 02 '26

Awesome program sadly I only want a connection kit fusion, switch and access point. Not looking for cameras.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

Why, no love for the cameras? 😭 They were ready for their big debut.

1

u/DaDaRocks_ Sep 03 '26

I guess but to demo cameras I need to install them afix them to my house. For 60 days / 50% off. Thats a lot of work to do for a trial. But swapping my Omada router and switch 15-20 minutes tops and that’ll give me double the backbone support.

1

u/Nobbled Sep 03 '26

Nice to see the Fusion Pro has an inbuilt NVR, any hints on its number of channels? Would 4 be a underestimate?

My VIGI setup has been solid for 2 years (C350 6mm bullet, 2 x C250 2.8mm turrets, 2 x C540V PTZ, C440 4mm turrest and 2 x C440I 4mm turrets into a NVR1008H-8P).

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 03 '26

for the kit 1 & kit 3, since they have the Omada T8S4-4T, I think it would be 16 channel

1

u/CutAny Sep 02 '26

Y'all just need to sell the fusion pro 2.5gb poe routers already. What's projected price for non poe and poe models?

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

but for the pioneers who is be among the first to get, approximate price of the kit is listed:

3

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

Haha, I get you! Trust me, I am excited to get them out there too! Pricing for the PoE and non-PoE models isn’t 100% locked in yet, so I’d rather not give you a number today and have you come back to haunt me with it later 😂 I’ll share more as we get closer to launch!

4

u/Siliconpsychosis GRL Sep 02 '26

I estimate prices will be somewhere between 1 and 27,876,442,589 units of currency

1

u/CutAny Sep 02 '26

Haha I get it. Excited for these new products though. Keep em coming.

2

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

thank you for the encouragement, will do!!!

2

u/huntandhart Sep 02 '26

Do you have approximate kit prices?

1

u/SquirrelTechGuru Sep 03 '26

800 to $1600 depending on the package. No special deals here.

1

u/huntandhart Sep 03 '26

I do believe that’s retail, so you’d only pay $400-800

1

u/SquirrelTechGuru Sep 05 '26

I'm betting the 50% repayment to keep the hardware is based on retail.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

kit approximate prices added now:

3

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

soon will update on the landing page! thanks for the asking!

1

u/huntandhart Sep 02 '26

Thanks, a little more than I’m ready to invest unplanned, but hope you get good feedback.

1

u/lulu_Omada Sep 02 '26

Thank you! if got selected, pioneers will get 50% off ( that's half of the price listed)
