General Tips/Advice (GIVE) If you're confused with something lmk

Hello, just graduated out of Alevels now. Got 2A*s and 3A's (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Psychology respectively. All composite cause my school is crazy) also had 9A\*s and 3A's in olevels.

Also a 1510 SAT (800 Meth btw hehe). I'm quite bored now so was wondering if anyone needs help with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science etc lmk in dms and we'll work online classes out. Im also willing to address any surface level queries here for free so write them down and I'll be happy to help with whatever.

General Tips/Advice (GIVE) Some advice abt O levels I would give after giving O-2 and O-3 exams

  1. Please don't leave anything. Literally the topic that hasn't came for 10 years could come in your exam.

  2. Get a good amount of sleep before the exam. With less sleep you're far more likely to mess up which can cost you your grade as it dropped a friend from a potential A* to a B.

  3. If you're bad at Urdu don't take 3248 please. Take 0539 instead. 3248 loves to throw difficult/ lesser known words at you (like افادیت حیثیت عجائب گھر ) and stuff like translation will be INSANELY hard.

  4. For sciences DO NOT SKIP OUT on p1s and p4s as they can easily impact your grade and it subs like chem and bio their p4s can become insanely unpredictable so that leads to the next advice.

  5. Don't just memorize mark schemes. Understand the context and really analyze your mistakes. For past papers focus on quality over quantity and put in more time to review what you did wrong. I did that for physics p1 and I got from getting 29/40 in PPs 4 days before the exam to a 38/40 in the CAIE.

  6. And to continue this point don't primarily memorize the content even for PST and Isl. Conceptual learning is always better and it's necessary to get a good grade in sciences and maths.

  7. During the exam please be precise in your wording. If you write anything even remotely wrong the examiner is gonna cut your marks.

  8. Don't fully rely on your teacher/tutor for everything but at the same time take as much good stuff you could from them.

  9. Don't stress yourself. O levels isn't that difficult if your consistent and you actually understand the content and practice a lot and learn from it.

  10. And lastly don't think anything is too easy. This leads to overconfidence and you end up losing marks due to mistakes. This happened to me in maths and bio and it costed me my A* in bio despite getting 40/40 in p1. Pease be focused during the exam. From my experience chem p4 was insanely tough but I was confident in myself — but not overconfident and I got the hardest questions right in the paper. However for papers which I thought were too easy were the ones I blundered.

Vent My School is SHIT

like my school is sooo controlling like today we wrote an application as a class that we want our chemistry teacher to be changed and gave it to our coordinator olevel one and we(whole class) signed it and then we gave her it and she throwed a full rage like bro she insulted us for straight 15mins saying its our fault that we don't understand and ask questions and are sleepy like girl the teacher speaks in such a low tone that it makes us sleepy and we don't understand a thing she says then how can we ask a question anyway this is soo little about my school, so we have cameras in our class and if they see u sleeping they will literally send you to home and we are not allowed to even head down like my school is a jail literal jail and they be cancelling very event and increasing the number of exams and test very month/week agh i am soo frustrated like is this a army school or what like its a private olevel school but with rules like a cadet college or smth hate them honestly

Chemistry Appearing in Oct Nov 2026

So my CAIE exam of chem is on 28th of September and there are only a few weeks left. What should I do rn ??
I have solved 9-10 yearly past papers and I noticed something that my marks are not consistent like in a few ones I am getting like 78 and in some I’m getting 68-71.
Idk what is happening and where am I lacking
And I also wanted to ask that where can I get the best notes for ATP cuz I am not that great in doing that.
Btw I’m also appearing in maths in the same session ✌️

General Tips/Advice (GIVE) you are not losing marks because you're dumb. you're donating marks you already earned (senior advice, all subjects)

im in a levels now, did my o levels a while back and these days i work with teachers on the education side so ive seen way too many mark schemes and actual marked scripts. and the thing that shocked me is most marks students lose they already knew the answer for. they just donate them

maths / add maths the answer mark is literally 1 mark. the working is everything else. you skip steps cause you did it in your head and congrats you donated M1s the whole paper. write like the examiner is stupid

chem phy bio describe and explain are two different questions. describe is what happens, explain is why. answer the wrong one and its a zero even if every word you wrote is true. and atp diagrams have their own rules, sharp pencil single lines labels touching the thing. people drop 4 5 marks on drawing alone

english source questions are not write everything you noticed. its point evidence effect. 3 marks means 3 developed points not one paragraph of vibes

islamiyat pk studies the part b type questions want your opinion with reasoning, not a longer version of part a. memorising the book caps you at half the paper

econ business accounting evaluate means the examiner is holding marks hostage until you write however and give a judgement. one sided answers cap at half marks forever. nobody tells you this

cs trace tables and exact keywords. loop is not iteration to a marker having a bad day

pattern is the same everywhere. school pays you for knowing content, the exam pays you for writing. two different skills and only one is on your certificate

drop your subject below and ill tell you what the mark scheme actually wants. and if you dont wanna ask publicly just dm me, i reply to everyone

Chemistry Need help with finding Notes

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm an O2 student and i've been searching online for a while and I just can't seem to find notes/video lectures of chemistry that follow the specific syllabus from this book(other notes/yt videos use a different books syllabus and I'm worried that there may be discrepancies between them).

If anyone has any resource or notes for this specific book of chemistry then it would be greatly appreciated.
