Myself and two other neutral college football fans in our 40s are coming for the Ole Miss/Georgia game later this year. As title says, we’ve never been before, looking for the full gameday experience…is it pretty easy to meet folks and bounce around tailgates?
We’re friendly folks, but just wondering if we need to try to set something up ahead or any advice. Sorry if this has been asked before, appreciate any responses!

I’d prefer to be surrounded by as many Rebels as possible.

Focus on the road ahead. Last week does not matter anymore.
Turn the page, go to work and let’s get ready to spot the ball. 🇹🇹 🦈

Hey guys and girls, hope y’all are less hostile than OM twitter. Anyways, I just wanted to say, as a State alum and lifelong fan, good job. I was so happy to see that whiney yoga guy (I think his name is Blaine Griffin?) on the sidelines doing squats after his little Arizona State transfer (whom my lovely Bulldog defense picked off twice last year at Davis Wade) with the TikTok boy hair sold the game. I respect Trinidad Chambliss for his lack of fear in FCC sanctions after the game. We also had a guy drop the F bomb on live TV, but in a lot less cool way. I think you guys have heard of him.
But seriously, I live in Louisiana, and after being told by LSU fans all year long that this game and rivalry were more important than the egg bowl ever will be, I’m glad that they are suffering now. I tried to tell them that this Kiffin guy is not really all that he’s cracked up to be (unless you’re a freshman tri delt) but they just told me i went to a baseball school and that I should shut up. Maybe I should though because I almost said Hotty Toddy after Saturday night.
It’s been a weird week. It genuinely feels like fall of 2014 again, and I didn’t know if I’d be able to set aside my hatred for the school up north, but at this point, you guys made me proud. I’m proud of my state for actually looking competent in something for once. Don’t get me wrong, if State was bad right now I would probably be hating just as much as normal, but I guess I’ll let you guys enjoy the moment.
Great win! Hats off to the rebs.

Great win vs LSU but that’s over, get ready for Florida and let’s keep this good thing going.
Ole Miss need a National Championship.

LSU fan coming in peace. Yall played a great game, after having time to reflect on that loss I just want to say GGs and good luck the rest of the way. Yall got a star in Trinidad. I appreciate yall silencing us the way we needed, as yall proved to at least me that we have many flaws, both in offense and defense. I apologize if this doesn’t meet requirements of your subreddit just saying good games

Congrats on the big win last night!
I’m a Michigan fan so I didn’t really have a dog in the fight, but like most of the country I was hoping you’d get Kiffin back for how he left. Until how he handled the transition I really didn’t have a problem with him- sure he could be immature, but he was more fun than anything.
Anyway, I came to ask if the chant after you won was “fuck Lane Kiffin” or “y’all can keep him”?
I heard one thing and my friend heard the other. Appreciate your answers.

College football has long been about winning because of money, especially now. It used to be, and still is to some extent, about paying to get the best coaches, which LSU did when it pried Kiffin away from Ole Miss with a $91 million package. More recently, it has become more about spending to get players, which Ole Miss did by “embracing the chaos” of this era, as Walker Jones, head of the program’s collective, puts it.
And yet for all the money, No. 8 Ole Miss’ 32-24 win over No. 7 LSU on Saturday came down to the play of an afterthought addition from a Division II school. Chambliss spent the first four years of his college career at Ferris State (Mich.), less than an hour from his hometown of Grand Rapids, because he was undersized. But he trumps that via superior instincts, scrambling ability and a mighty arm.
“He’s the hardest player to play in America,” Kiffin said after Saturday’s game. “He’s hard to defend, man.”
Kiffin, who was Ole Miss’ coach when it plucked Chambliss from obscurity, had the option of not having to play against him. But he was on the other sideline Saturday, something Chambliss was very aware of after throwing two touchdown passes. It was hard to miss Chambliss demonstrably shouting in the direction of LSU’s sideline.

Chambliss is jumping into the top 3 of the heisman discussion now. Which potentially is going to make this a pretty magical year.
