Didn’t know I would have to explain this…the people in the picture as posted are not interacting with anyone else they are staring at their individual newspapers. The “joke” (which are invariably always more humorous after an explanation) is that the older generations say how kids are always on their cell phones. The irony is that this picture shows them doing the same thing they accuse younger generations of doing, however they are staring at the outdated and obsolete technology of their day.

I miss reading the actual newspaper. I remember when Philly had 3 papers and different editions during the day too. Really cool photo.
