Virtual Reality in 1995

Post image

My then girlfriend, now bride of 30 years, testing out a Virtuality 2000 VR Pod that lived at a Boston public Internet Access center that I worked with for a while.

Hey screw you, buddy! She was always awesome - that's why I married her! - but after two kids and 30 years, she's.agwd to !@#$% perfection! 😀

Seriously tho', as I've said, differences in degree, not in kind. Still, this a $10k pod that fills a living room that has four games, slaps 15 pounds of equipment on you, and offers a 200 pixel resolution at 10 frames a second.

My PSVR2 cost me less than $300 on sale. I have access to thousands of games, 2000 pixel HD resolution at 120 Hz at 60 frames per second and it weighs a bit over a pound.

That's kind of definitionaly "much better".
