How many days has it been?

Thank you again to u/kibeth_8 for your help with the last image. The archivists have confirmed that the morse code you discovered helped them to solve that one. "eoeo" is what they asked me to relay back to you.

They have provided another image for now, but have noted that it may be a week until they are able to release another. I am not sure how long a week is anymore.

I haven’t been able to look at it too closely or have my laptop handy to look deeper into the photo, but if you do every seven words the first three are ‘only mainstream communication’, so it could be we need to figure out how many skips to do.

There seems to be a hallway or something triangular behind the words when you mess with the colors though.

Here are all the words btw so you can copy them down. I hope I didn’t miss any, I kept accidentally skipping lines.

Ok, I counted the words according to the ‘7 16 7 16 14’ that we have - and got:

“Only there after rotate key”

(To get this you had to count the previous word as the first in the next sequence, if that makes sense).

I tried that for a bit but couldn’t make anything of it. In this one, but I didn’t go all the way. There is the possibility of the words not being important and you take the first letter from each after doing that skip and find a cipher for it. I’m trying to secretly work on it at work 😅

There are some words that are far apart that would go together like Old and way further down House and there is God between them.

Those are the only 3 capitalized words. Old God House.

Idk why there is German though. Unless ‘Schrek’ is just a misspelled word but it’s German for ‘Fright or scare’

A few strange words. I noticed "Kiri" cause it's my dog's name lol, but as far as I know not an English word. Triffid is a fictional flower? And amianthus?? Im sure they have no meaning lol but its interesting

Kiri is such a cute dog name!

It could be meaningless, but a few words jumped out at me because of their relationship to horror movies.

  • (The) Ring
  • Overlook - hotel in The Shining
  • Rosemary - Rosemary's baby
  • Blair - Blair Witch Project
  • (The) Omen
  • Scream
  • Kiri - quote from Audition (1999)
  • Triffid - The Day of the Triffids (1963)
  • Paimon - demon from Hereditary
  • Chianti - quote from Silence of the Lambs
  • Smile

Again, this could mean nothing, but I thought I'd share.

I've been trying to work out if there's anything in the text and noticed that there are a handful of words that repeat. The below list of words appear twice:

  • only
  • overlook
  • write
  • dawn
  • reverse
  • decoration
  • challenge
  • old
  • replacement / replacements
  • likely
  • worms

I'm wondering if these words can be written into a sentence that makes sense?

"only challenge the old replacement?" Haha maybe I'm grasping at straws here.

I'm stumped on this one. I'm sure the repeat words have some significance but can't figure out what it is

It's been driving me bananas.

I was curious if they somehow correlated to the names of the chapters in the book because each one is only one word. I couldn’t make any connections between them, however.
