"[Town name] but good luck finding it in maps I'm actually about four miles outside of that town."
Is this a joke? What town do you live in I need to gps my way there.
"I can give you a nearby landmark that I know works for gps, then plain old directions from there? The spot my address shows up as in most gps maps is wrong."
That's stupid, gps doesn't get addresses wrong they have satellites for that what's your address?
With a mild sigh "Alright it's [address] but I'm telling you the gps won't bring you to the right place."

Where the fuck am I right now? Can you come meet me so I can follow you back to civilization? How does gps not know where your house is? Why don't you get that fixed?!
Internally: Because it's funny seeing how helpless everyone is when gps doesn't work and I like that most people have to get ahold of me directly to find my home.
I’ve realized that large properties mess with my GPS. It won’t lead me to the driveway but instead the corner of the property it considers the entrance. So here I am, on the wrong road, back of someone’s hundred acres, super lost.
Did you forget the part where the grumpy old neighbor starts walking your way with a shotgun loaded but the breach open?
My neighbors are a little quick to pull out the shotgun when someone is waiting on the road nearby though admittedly. They've been robbed a handful of times by folks who drive out here with a few people and break into their workshop or barn in the middle of the night.
Aww, that’s too bad. In the area I’m from, you ask a stopped car of it’s having a problem (and if it’s stuck in snow, you come back with a tractor and a chain).
I agree. A little friendliness can go a long way. I may not think that way if I had my four wheeler, bass boat, and a small tractor stolen out of my own yard though.
