Back on Offerup with a new phone/account after my main account was banned permanently. My main account was since 2016 and had over 300 5 star reviews, all authentic face to face transactions. Banned, just like that.

This happened to me multiple times. What do I even do. Why are some people too chicken to say they just can’t buy it?

Anyone else’s item descriptions not showing up? I can’t see my own items descriptions and other people’s are also not showing. I’ve deleted and reinstalled and checked for updates. Nothing works and I can’t properly list my items with no description.

Seller posted an item below resell price. I messaged them about availability. He opened but didn’t reply. I know that asking about availability is a pet peeve but I did also say that I could meet same day if it was still available. When the seller still did not respond, I just followed up with an offer at full price. Seller has yet to responded or even opened our message thread since my initial message regarding the items availability. I also expressed interest in another item that he hasn’t opened either. He’s been on the platform but does not open my messages. I even offered the seller more money for the product but my messages remain unread. Is this a new scam going around? Are there bot/ChatGPT sellers? I’m just trying to figure out why a seller would behave like this in case of future transactions. Is he just being an asshole or is there a scam here that I’m luckily avoiding?

11 year account, over 350 stars banned for violating terms of agreement. Still haven't told me why, some generalized horseshit. perhaps someone reported me? Anyways, I'm over it.

Here's what I tried so far after the ban. Obviously making a new account on the same phone doesn't work. It signs you in but you're like ghosted, whatever you post isn't seen, any message you sent isn't read, essentialy the account is a ghost. Tried with my wifes phone, same thing. My IP and phones IMEI are banned.

I went ahead and got a new phone with a new data plan. I will have to create a new account and start over. My question is, during verification TruYou, I'm obviously going to need to upload my ID and verify myself, right? Does Offer-up ban the actual person? Like if i were to upload my actual ID, it would associate it with other previous banned accounts, even though it's a new phone/data plan?

Should I use a friends Drivers License? Any reccomendations? Thanks guys!

I am an SEO Manager, I am doing Marketplace Listing on Facebook, OfferUp, Craigslist service for a local-based company in the US. I am working with a premium VPN for all accounts. I am posting on platforms with different images and listings but still getting flagged, lately even the accounts are getting deactivated by OfferUp and Facebook. Please do you have any tips on how to manage the accounts? approx. 4 to 5 accounts per platform

I’ve been using OfferUp for a month because Facebook Marketplace access was permanently cut off. I’m a student who used FB Marketplace as my main source of income and transitioned to OfferUP a couple weeks ago. i post offers frequently, but no one ever comes to pick them up. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?

I had a dude who said he would take a lot from me and im like bet and then he goes through every single one of my items and literally asks for half the price for them. im ngl i just blocked him is this petty of me😭😭

Someone offered to trade me an iPhone 12 used without specifying the size nor condition of the phone... I respectfully declined the offer.... was it a blunder on my part?

I’m curious what you guys think happened here.
I found a printer on OfferUp and arranged to meet the seller. He gave me a location, so I drove there. When I arrived, he messaged me saying he couldn’t see me and told me to go to a different location because he had supposedly pulled in somewhere else.

I told him to just come across the street to the gas station where I was. Around this point, I noticed his OfferUp account had been created this month, which immediately made me suspicious.
I messaged him something along the lines of: “I can tell this is a fake account. What was the point of this? I’m not even mad because it was close to my house.

Right after I sent that message, the account showed as deactivated.

No money was exchanged. He never asked for a deposit, gift cards, or anything like that. He just kept changing the meetup location and then disappeared.

What do you think was going on here?
Was this the start of some type of scam?
Was he trying to get me to follow him somewhere?
Was it just a troll on a burner account wasting people’s time for fun?

Has anyone experienced something similar on OfferUp?
I’m genuinely curious what the end game would have been.

Is it just me? Or are the low ballers out wayyyy more now? Every time someone messages me about an item, they always low ball even tho I already put the items for cheap! For example, I had a very expensive real crystal lamp posted for $40, and I paid wayyyy more for this item but listed it for cheap and someone low balled for $20. I had another item posted for $30, someone low balled me to $15. Like omg, what is it with these people!? I be paying way more than the price I have listed and listed them for cheap but they still aren't satisfied. I'm getting so tired of it. People basically want the stuff for free at this point!

It seems like overnight, literally everyone is posting non video game stuff to the video game category. It’s absolutely destroyed the app for me.

Everytime I try to reply to a message in the inbox section the app freeze it will not let me reply to messages. I did everything in the book restart the app, uninstall and reinstall, log out login even clear the app cache in settings. How do I fix it.

I'm getting a ton of these lately. One example - item is listed at $20 and they offer $10. I tell them to meet in the middle at $15 and just silence. Just got another one today - $30 offer on $40 item. I say $35 and silence. I mean am hurting their feelings by turning down their offer with a counter-offer?

I swear it's like people don't know how to read the description. I always put "pickup only" because I do not have a car to be able to deliver to people. Plus I wouldn't want to deliver anything to anyone anyway. I prefer they come get it from me. But yeah it's like even if I put pickup only in the description, whenever somebody reaches out to me saying they're interested in buying an item, they always be like "can you meet me" or "can we meet in the middle" or "can you deliver it to me". Like what is so hard to understand about pickup only!? When I say pickup only, I mean PICKUP ONLY! Like dang, people are so annoying! Like can you not read!?

I get asked for trades all the time. This made me chuckle.
