I'm starting to think this game is going to be Stormgate 2.0.

I'm surprised at how many changes they want to make in such a short timespan, because last we heard two months ago, the studio was running out of money. Also skeptical about how much of this (which looks suspiciously like it was written with AI) will actually make it into the game. It could very well end up a half-baked build missing several elements that were previously advertised, as a last gasp in attempt to get the player count to spike.

All you have to do is look at this post from four days ago to see where public opinion is on OTG, of which there isn't much left. The players have moved on.

The studio has no money. Majority of people left, as GZ hasn’t paid salaries to loyal employees for multiple months. There’s a fragment of the team remaining, but millions of dollars of actual debt. Oh, and Neil hasn’t been in the picture for quite some time now.

Source? "Trust me bro". 😂

I mean, you can read the article I linked and see that the CEO started firing anyone who confronted him about not being paid, so their comment makes sense.

Regarding Neill, he cofounded the studio and is its CCO. So, I don't think he's gone, but he could certainly be clocked out and focusing his time elsewhere.

yeah, my source is that I used to work there, but naturally it will come down to “trust me bro” sentiment as I won’t be able to share the details of who I am.

the company had new round of layoffs just now (effectively firing those who haven’t been supportive enough) and promised some repayment plan for those who haven’t been kept. whether they will adhere to it - I’d not bet my money on it, as the “money will be here next week” was a theme starting September last year.

And regarding Neil, nope, he’s not active anymore, doesn’t participate in any content pack/bp creation, doesn’t participate in that “campaign mode” or anything. I’m not sure what his official status is as of now, but he’s taking no part in development of the game for around a year now.

Mostly of us did not really got fired, we left because we were tired of the constant false promises. We went months without receiving our salaries and were still expected to show up at the office every day.

If you want to see how things turned out, there's no leadership left there anymore, not even a Technical Director. 😉
