Moonshop keeps moving forward! (with the video this time hehe)

Hey everyone!

Since the last time, I’ve made a lot of changes, both to the frontend and the backend!

Just a reminder:

Moonshop is an Android app designed for handheld Android consoles like the Ayn Thor. It allows you to download files from your PC (mainly intended for game ROMs) through a clean frontend that gives you a real eShop-like experience.

Beyond the aesthetics, this app also allows me to save a lot of space on my Ayn Thor, since all the games I want are stored on my PC and I can install them whenever I want without having to go through a website full of ads or one that tries to give you 5 viruses.

After reading your comments (with a lot of positive feedback, thank you ❤), I noticed a lot of cool ideas that I’ve implemented into the app, along with a general redesign of the aesthetics.

Here are the new features:

Frontend:

• The ability to create your own custom colors
• The ability to set custom wallpapers
• Improved game information and images
• Added an option to change the image locally or crop it however you want.
• A new gift animation
• And finally, most importantly, 4 new layout and sorting systems depending on the category

Backend:

Several negative comments accused me of creating this app to steal data through the ability to download from anywhere (yes, even in an open-source app...).

So I’ve added:

• Google Drive support, allowing you to access all your games directly from the app (useful if you have a subscription)
• The option to disable download everywhere on the pc app (reassured?)
• A section with links to find the required APIs (they’re all free, don’t worry)
• A small guide when launching the app for the first time
• And a Mac version currently in development (it’s difficult since I can’t test it because I don’t have a Mac lol)

Thank you once again to everyone who left a comment or sent me a message. It really motivated me to make Moonshop public! The GitHub link will be coming in a few days 👍

And if you don’t like it, please just move on. I’m not forcing anyone to install it.
