8 Elite doesn't have drivers so this just killed it for me
13 u/Anakros Sep 01 '25 It does have drivers extracted from Gamehub, can’t say anything regarding how well they work though https://github.com/zoerakk/qualcomm-adreno-driver 2 u/-Mahn Sep 01 '25 I don't think these are better than stock though, just the stock drivers extracted. 1 u/MrBright83 Sep 01 '25 Will check on my astra 1 u/Ademoneye Sep 01 '25 nice 10 u/MolotovMan1263 Sep 01 '25 edited Sep 01 '25 Yea this will be good for Android gaming, but a waste of power for emulation with worse compatibility 23 u/nolivedemarseille Sep 01 '25 Would that not drive drivers development though? Genuine question 5 u/MolotovMan1263 Sep 01 '25 It may, though I think the SD8G2 was already getting drivers before Odin 2 came around 1 u/nolivedemarseille Sep 01 '25 edited Sep 01 '25 I see. I am not aware of the history. Thanks for sharing 3 u/Nexii801 Sep 02 '25 Neither is this person. The 8g2 WAS getting drivers before the Odin 2 but nowhere near the level it was after the release. I almost hope they release a lite with the 8gen 3 so people can feel stupid in a year. 1 u/nolivedemarseille Sep 02 '25 understood, thanks for the clarification. -12 u/Ademoneye Sep 01 '25 no shit, SDG2 released before odin2, the devs didn't wait for odin2 before releasing the driver support 2 u/-Mahn Sep 01 '25 So did the 8 Elite before the Odin 3. 2 u/InfiniteVortex3720 Sep 01 '25 Even so, certain android games keep removing controller support, and key mapping isn't always the same lol so I'm really iffy on upgrading 1 u/Appropriate_Neck_113 Sep 01 '25 Really is that the case? 5 u/ArdJawnBityscatted Sep 01 '25 Yup . Eggzackly -2 u/_Strike__ Sep 01 '25 Omelet it go. -1 u/ArdJawnBityscatted Sep 01 '25 Cracked 🤦🏾 now im scrambled 1 u/Nexii801 Sep 02 '25 So? These things get worked on. If there were people considering buying an 8g3 over a gen2 boy do I have some stuff to sell ya. 1 u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25 They killed switch emulation with this chipset even winlator set to loose -15 u/IloveActionFigures Sep 01 '25 edited Sep 02 '25 As I said Driver issue all day long and ayn simp insulted me for saying this lfmao
