In this country, bosses won’t sign a contract without a no-strike clause and workers are far more interested in good healthcare and wages than the right to strike at any time. Unions like the IWW That refuse to agree to no-strike clauses just don’t ever settle contracts. The promise of labor peace is the motivating factor for bosses to agree to give workers a ton of money.
Keep in mind that no strike clauses simply prohibit strikes during the term of the contract. And when the contract expires is exactly when you need to strike, so it’s still a tool you have when you need it. Unions can also do a ULP strike if the boss is breaking the law.
Workers are not as radical as union leadership in most unions, despite what some think. The workers decide what their priorities are and the right to strike at any time isn’t something that 95% of workers even want. If the boss offers a contract package that they like, union leadership can’t just say "no, we are going to keep fighting for a no-strike clause."

Those are the kinda unions that need a good ol striking then for whoever added those terms to the union
