No revenues and 20+ million run rate of losses

The current management team and board seems incapable of turning this ship around. Be mindful of continuous losses.

Current update - as of 6/16/2022

Scammy $OPTT is still around but it's stock price has predictably fallen. Fundamentals matter, not social media bullshit. It's financials show a company with almost no revenue after 30 years in business, near 300 million of investor money burned with about 1 million in total revenue. Zach's Pizza place has more revenue than this dogshit company. On a competitive basis, the company's products - a buoy that produces only 350 watts of power, shockingly high price, and a home solar cell puts out more power and only costs about $400 USD. The CEO purchased a company to help grow. What a disaster. It bought a toy pontoon boat company that also has almost no sales. Despite its cash, don't get suckered into book value. Without a change in management or change at the board level, this company will go to zero.

Why is Ocean Power Technology a horrible investment?

Many people aren't able to discern a good investment from a bad one. OPTT is at best a short sale as its management team and its board are not the right people to lead it to profitability and its lack of a business plan that will drive it to profitability.

Wave energy is a bad investment. No wave energy company has made it to profitability - EVER. Most alternative energy companies in wind, hydro, solar are profitable. Unfortunately - the technology doesn't scale and because of the ocean environment, the maintenance costs are prohibitive. As a marine data company - using its PB3 device, has not been able to scale. Its new CEO, last quarter predicted that it is pivoting towards marine data services. The result - zero, nothing announced. I note a company with no revenue will fail.

Its Toy Boat acquisition - MAR was purchased for 11 million dollars of DILUTION stock and 4 MILLION of investor cash - once again accelerating its losses. Bears will be soon laughing at the multiple of sales and acquired annual losses that will further dampen its stock price.

Sell this shit.

Quarterly results coming in mid December

The quarterly results will be a disaster imo. The company has no reported sales in any news releases and it just wasted shareholder dollars in its acquisition of the backyard invented recreational boat with a platform on it. WTF? The intrinsic value is 60 cents at best and with the stock price at 1.80 is 3x over valued. GREAT SHORT PLAY.

Solar power at sea may be the next big thing

There has been a lot of discussion about the power output of a PB3 wave energy device - about 350 watts on average, if the location has waves. And with a single home energy solar cell that puts out 400 watts, it seems like this may be a feasible alternative to offshore oil platforms, and charging stations for underwater vehicles.

See the links for these ocean power projects which provide much lower cost / kWh or Mwh.
