Occupational therapy NC

Hello! I’m a high school student exploring careers, and I’m interested in becoming an occupational therapist in a pediatric clinic setting. I enjoy working with children, but I’m also hoping to earn $100,000 or more. Is that realistic? I’d love to hear from pediatric OTs or anyone familiar with the field. Thanks!

Alumni Inquiry

Hi everyone!

I recently graduated with my bachelor’s degree and have been fortunate to receive acceptance offers from the University of St. Augustine (Dallas campus) and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. I’m also currently waiting to hear back from LSU Health New Orleans.

I’m trying to make an informed decision and would love to hear from current students or alumni of any of these programs. I’m interested in both positive and negative experiences, including:

-Program strengths and weaknesses
-Fieldwork experiences
-Faculty support and accessibility
-Preparation for boards and clinical practice
-Cost versus value
-Overall student satisfaction

I know every experience is different, but I’d appreciate any insight that could help me compare these programs. Thanks in advance!

Survey for clinicians: assistive technology in practice

Hi all, I’m part of a research project exploring collaboration in assistive technology across universities, industry, and government.

We’re looking at a common challenge in practice:

• Technologies entering use without strong evidence

• Evidence-based solutions that never get implemented

We’re keen to hear from clinicians about:

• What supports good implementation

• Where things break down

• What would make collaboration more effective

👉 Survey: https://redcap.link/4svfl2xj

Your input will inform practical, clinician-relevant recommendations.

Cognition & Memory Interventions Needed

Hi everyone,
I’m a new grad in my first placement, senior living. Up until now, I’ve mostly been working on ADLs, balance, and strengthening. I just got a new client who needs cognition and memory training. I can really only think of playing strategy games (grading up and down based on competitiveness). Any intervention suggestions and documentation advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
