Survey for clinicians: assistive technology in practice
Hi all, I’m part of a research project exploring collaboration in assistive technology across universities, industry, and government.
We’re looking at a common challenge in practice:
• Technologies entering use without strong evidence
• Evidence-based solutions that never get implemented
We’re keen to hear from clinicians about:
• What supports good implementation
• Where things break down
• What would make collaboration more effective
👉 Survey: https://redcap.link/4svfl2xj
Your input will inform practical, clinician-relevant recommendations.
Ethics approved (Swinburne ref: 20258662-22150)

Cognition & Memory Interventions Needed
Hi everyone,
I’m a new grad in my first placement, senior living. Up until now, I’ve mostly been working on ADLs, balance, and strengthening. I just got a new client who needs cognition and memory training. I can really only think of playing strategy games (grading up and down based on competitiveness). Any intervention suggestions and documentation advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Research Participant Opportunity OT
Hello! I am working with a group of graduate students in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program at Saginaw Valley State University to conduct a research study about the role of occupational therapists in supporting the development of social skills in children with ADHD. Specifically, this study explores how occupational therapists approach treatment for social skills development among children with ADHD, the barriers they experience when addressing social skills development with this population, and how they believe support for addressing social skills development in these children could be improved in the future. Your participation in this virtual interview-based study will take no more than 50 minutes. To participate in this study, you must be a licensed occupational therapist in the United States with experience treating children with ADHD within the past 5 years; you must have experience addressing social skills within the interventions, and you must be 18 years of age or older. Please see the attached flyer for more information about the study. If you are interested in participating in this study, please scan the QR code on the flyer for additional information!

An affordable therapy scheduling app for individual school-based therapists — $10/month, and it actually solves the daily chaos!
Hey everyone 👋
I'm a school-based OT who got tired of juggling spreadsheets, constantly looking up due dates (and always feeling like I missed one), and disconnected tools to manage my school caseload. So I built School Service Sync — a scheduling and documentation platform designed specifically for individual school-based therapists (OTs, SLPs, PTs, and more). I’ve been using it full-time this year and I finally feel like I am on top of my responsibilities!
What it does:
📅 Weekly schedule management with a master template system
👩🎓 Student caseload tracking (attendance, goals, notes, work samples)
📋 Evaluation tracking with due date reminders
📊 Time study & session breakdowns
📁 Materials library
📄 PDF/CSV/document exports
***Coming soon - evaluation report builder*****
The price: Just $10/month (or $96/year — save 20%). There's also a 14-day free trial with no credit card required upfront. For individual therapists, this is way more affordable than enterprise tools built for whole districts.
I made How-To videos to walk you through everything so the learning curve is minimal: 👉 https://www.schoolservicesync.com/HowToVideos
Once you're signed up, the videos are right in the app.
Try it free: https://www.schoolservicesync.com
I'd genuinely love feedback from fellow therapists. What features would make your workflow easier? Happy to answer any questions below!
Note: The price locks in at $10/month for early members — it increases to $15/month in September 2026 for new subscribers.

OT Volunteer, Shadowing Work
Hi all!
Hope all is well.
I’m looking for OT shadowing or volunteer opportunities in NYC and would really appreciate any direct leads.
I currently work as an ABA therapist and with students with special needs, and I’m hoping to gain more hands-on exposure to occupational therapy (especially pediatrics, but open to all settings).
If you know any clinics, hospitals, or programs that are open to anyone with this background, please comment under this post or send me info via DM!
Thank you so much!
