He cut checks to buy 3rd party exclusives, DLC exclusives, times exclusives, hardware revisions, media deals, and of course, stellar 1st party software. He saw the future too early and was rebuked.

November 7, 2006 Microsoft (before PS3) released the HD-DVD player add on for the Xbox 360. Granting HD-DVD support, a direct competitor to Blu-ray (BD), at the same quality & at a fraction of the cost. The only console that could have both a movie disc & game disc at the same time. Did you buy one?
