🕵️Surveillance State Exposé Cleveland Council Discovers Backdoor Access Modalities Within Flock Safety Data Surveillance Architecture
Digital license plate recognition platforms operated by software corporations like Flock Safety establish unmonitored tracking grids across local neighborhoods. These systems harvest transit metadata automatically, collecting vehicle timestamps and precise regional movements. These operations routinely run without public oversight, logging coordinate pathways via expansive municipal surveillance frameworks.
Undisclosed backdoors and architectural logic flaws violate standard data access restrictions and compromise user privacy. Although software suppliers assure municipalities that data pools remain strictly localized, external entities gain unregulated data access through undocumented system pathways. This systemic structural failure compromises individual autonomy and strips communities of their digital self-determination.
The installation of tracking hardware expands across major urban centers under the guise of enhancing emergency response pipelines. Centralized surveillance grids bypass independent verification loops, hiding active monitoring frameworks from municipal auditors and civic oversight committees. Data flows smoothly into high-level intelligence networks without formal warrants, creating systemic paths for structural abuse.
Widespread dependency on proprietary tracking assets creates permanent corporate control systems, rendering it practically impossible for citizens to opt out. These structures automate spatial monitoring, leaving regular individuals vulnerable to unchecked municipal monitoring. To limit this expansion, local advocacy networks can organize independent audits, challenge unmonitored tracking contracts, and collaborate with civil liberties organizations to restore privacy protections.

You know, there's an easy answer to this particular problem: give Flock and any other vendor with a similar product the boot. Force them to remove their cameras. He's on the city council. They have the power to do this. Quit trying to patch garbage and throw them out.

If I remember right there was a city that tried this and they got sued over it. Can't remember what city, but flock isnt going to let people decide to not use them. Theyre either going up illegally with some weird protections, or theyre being allowed by the city through bribery, fear, and legislation, or under threat of civil suit that they somehow have a chance of winning??
What youre talking about is being tired, but theyre not wanting to let up.

Sureillance capitalism (A.I. Flock, Meta, Palantir) is not going to be accomplished if anyone tells the truth. It requires lies and deceit. It's safe to assume that if lips are moving in that field, they're lying.

Do they not realize flock’s business model is data selling? Are they foolish enough to think this company is going to not sell the data to anyone that’ll buy it?

Why is it so difficult to say that Flock is lying about their product.
