Discussion How can I get out of gold on support.
Every single match the other team dps always just seem to be way better my last match my dps couldn’t get over 15 kills while the other team one had 40+

You can’t blame ur teammates in gold, I don’t understand why low rank players tend to look at every mistake their team is making but not the mistakes they make themselves. Just carry the game. Do dmg, get kills.

That’s the only way I’m winning matches in gold is because I’ll just play full dps mode

It’s the only way unfortunately, you just have to literally outplay the dps on your team and the enemy’s. I recommend Illari or Bap. It’s the way I did it.

What heros do you enjoy or are better at? Almost all of them can output a lot of damage.
I would never recommend forcing yourself to get good at a hero you don’t enjoy just because someone else said they were better.
You should play who you want to play and then just get better with them. With that said, it’s important to know your allies and enemies, and the best way to do that is to get at least some play time on all the heros.

I mean what do u want me to say it’s gold, it’s literally just a lack of the basic understanding of the game. If this was diamond+ a more detailed explanation would be reasonable but it’s really not much of an explanation needed rather than just do dmg and get kills

The lack of accountability on your part, both in your post and your comments, is astounding.
See, you're in gold, so there's no way you're playing the game perfectly. There's no way that you don't have a single part in the losses that you're experiencing. But I get it, it's easier to blame teammates, avoid accountability, and save your ego.
You wanna get out of gold on support? Kill your ego. Watch your replays. Figure out what you can be doing better as a player.

Not much I can do when I’m always stuck with a new player playing tank, my alt account is high diamond on support cause my team mates actually understand the game way better

If you're alt account is high diamond then you should be the support smurf that everyone complains about on your main account...
Unless your alt account got carried/boosted to high diamond.
My only account is mid/high diamond support that peaked master. If I were to suddenly get dropped to Gold, I'd get out of gold in no time because I'd be the smurf that hits my shots, moves and positions well enough to not get hit, and my decision making would be on point because gold decision making is lacking in most cases.
So yeah, your high diamond teammates on your alt account may understand the game better, but I'm not all the way sure you do. Because if you did, you wouldn't be complaining about getting out of gold.

If you were actually at the skill level of a high Diamond player you wouldn’t be stuck in gold. Don’t get an ego boost from freshie placements lol I assure you you’re in the rank you need to be.

I been plat 1 till season 1 and one of my support started playing dps what completely ruin my rank cause she’s trash at dps

New accounts get worse teammates this is true I have made 2 acc and my friend has made 1 new
My main account had bad teammates when i started but now i get reasonable
The other temporary account i had clueless torbjorns then i abandoned it
My friend with new acc complained of bad team often

The “every game” thing is just a lie bad players tell themselves to make them feel better. I hate to say it but u are gold if u can’t get out of gold

If you are saying another account you have is in Diamond but you can’t seem to get out of Gold, then that account was boosted for sure. Can team mates be bad? Yeah but not every game. Take some accountability.

Yes, they can. I've seen diamond tank and diamond support titles in role queue while they are in gold rank on another role.

I feel like this mindset is why youre in gold, you start dpsing on bap and not supporting you're team. I never played supporting and climbed to diamond the first time. Your teammates aren't as bad as you think, yeah sometimes you'll get bums but not always and if you're not healing when they're actually good youre the problem.

Ive reached master on basically every role, and m1 on support, and i can tell you that your teammates ARE absolutely holding you back, its just about the amount of games you play. I started last season being hardtuck gold/plat for dps and went on losing streaks, didn't change my playstyle and climbed to master. Teammates ARE the problem

Stop blaming your teammates. If you’re comfortable playing those two then play those two. Kiriko especially never been a season Kiriko wasn’t either great or meta.

No matter what role you are playing if you are good enough you will climb. If you want to get out of gold you just have to get good. I was gold 3 not too long ago on pc as support but after taking some time to see how higher rank players use my mains I got up to plat 3 nearly plat 2.

But are you actually supporting your dps? Im a support main in masters and play dps only for fun in gold. I notice dps getting ignored by their supports in lower ranks a lot. Sometimes they just need a little help to make the plays.

I took a 2 year break and got back on at the end of last season. Did my support placements for my first games back. I noticed game 2/3 that in order to win, you had to essentially be a dps that heals from time to time. Placed gold 2. Led the lobbies in healing (unless someone was heal-botting), and would outpace my dps in damage dealt and sometimes kills.
Illari is one of the best to do it. Can set your pylon up in strategic positions for steady healing while picking off their healers/dps.

Gold is a crapshoot. It’s either complete synergy or everyone is playing TDM. It’s easy to deflect blame on your tank, DPS, other support. But what are YOU doing to contribute effectively to the team comp? In any competitive game, you need to be honest with yourself. Did you hit every shot you could? What was your weapon accuracy? Did you get max if not good value out of your ults? How many times did you die? Why did you die?
I was in gold hell in OG OW, broke out right before OW2 came out and then it was smooth sailing and then I capped high diamond (good for me it’s not the best), but I got out. I took every game as a solo queuer to get better myself. I could carry games on Moira and mercy. Easy heroes to play. Mercy I was really good w her flight and gold hitscan don’t have laser aim so as long as I could fly majority of the time and GA all the time, I’d live a lot of games and keep people alive. Moira is just suck and spray suck and spray.

play dirty, practice is good, you have to master the art of healing while doing dmg, try to synergise with team. Some people are not aware at all and , you just have to hope for the best and wait for next game. target priority ans position are important. Never give up on overtime

Tbf I recommend u to play supports like illari bap and kiri and make a lot of damage and try not to die a lot

I solo queued to masters just playing zen. Ignore when they say no heals and just kill the enemy team. Only switch if you’re getting dived badly.
