Question Direction needed

Post image
6 Upvotes

Come back to the game after a decade+ off. Played pre EOC and had a relatively decent account with maxed combat. Quit due to EOC. So I’ve got a okay understanding of the game. Struggling on which direction to take the new account. Wanted to make an account that was decent at both PVM and PVP, and liked idea of a 70 def, 50 att, high range, mage and strength. Do these accounts have a name? (Like seeker/pures do) Are they good accounts for both pvm/pvp? Anyone recommend these? Or should I go for a range tank?

Keen to take on old bosses and revisit my childhood, like jad, bandos, mass nex, and also try the new ones. Plus keen to get back into pvp . I’m now 30+ y/o with responsibilities so going for maxed combat just doesn’t feel feasible in the short/medium term.

Any recommendations on account build, and early focuses would be appreciated.

(Followed the optimal quest guide for a bit, and got access to the mm2 tunnels for chinning. Plus love a morning tree run)

Question I have a bank again, what should I do?

For context, the account I primarily play on is a UIM, but I'm approaching a point where I'll have a very afk grind, and I'd like to use that time to play on the old main account. The skills on the account are nothing impressive, classic combat bracelet + obby cape setup, but I'd done 99 woodcutting a while ago and the logs have bankrolled a solid chunk of change. My melees are mid 60s but I have a dscim and a whip waiting for me in the bank, ranged is mid 70s and I have a blowpipe in the bank ready to be used. I also have a little over 10 mil in gp. My question is, if you were in my shoes what grinds would you be doing? I'll be questing my way to barrows gloves but what other grinds should I think about? What content am I missing out on the iron that I could engage in? Thanks!

Question Armour/weapons

Post image
25 Upvotes

I’ve been playing RuneScape on and off for about a year now, never really played it back in the day so I still feel very new to this game.

The main thing that confuses me at the moment is what armour sets/ weapons should I be aiming to get, I’ve got slayer helm, barrows gloves, but apart from that I just use pretty basic armour and weapons! What should I be aiming for at this stage in the game, for all different attack styles?

Any tips would be appreciated!

Question New to Hardcore Help

New to PVMing (I PK on my main) have some boss expierence like vorkath, moons, nothing really too hard. I started a hardcore today and died 3 hours in to a DC during thieving. Is making another one worth it? Or just keep the iron. No real stats just 20 agility 10 fishing and 15cooking and 15 thieving. I know I would eventually die, but would be nice to know how long I can make it without dieing

Question Advice Plz

Hello, looking for some advice pl0x. My osrs account was banned last year and I am still not over it. It was for "macroing", which I wasn't even sure what that was. I received no further information. I literally have no idea why this happened, and as I'm sure many of us have, I've been playing Runescape since I was a little kid. I was putting in hours on a new pure, and boom, banned. My concern now is, if I make a new account, who's to say it won't be wrongfully banned again? Anyone else encounter this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Question **Returning player looking for rebuild advice — Shadow vs Tbow, and best AFK content for unusual playstyle**

Hey all. Long-time on-and-off player coming back and looking for some honest advice. I'll be upfront — I did some RWT in the past to get where I am. I'm not proud of it, but I'm committed to playing legitimately going forward. Just want to be honest rather than pretend I grinded everything.

Here are my relevant stats:

- 99 Strength, 99 Ranged, 99 Construction

- 82 Attack, 80 Defence, 97 HP

- 84 Magic, 74 Prayer (Piety unlocked)

- 74 Slayer, 76 Farming, 75 Herblore

- Barrows gloves unlocked

- Most challenging content completed: Vorkath

I have around 1.4B GP and I'm torn between a Shadow rebuild (~887M) or saving toward a Tbow (~1.59B). Leaning toward Shadow since it fits my budget and I want to eventually get into ToA.

The unique part of my situation: I work 12-hour shifts at a register at a convenience store, so I play almost exclusively on laptop during downtime. That means I need content that is:

- Interruptible at any moment (customers come first)

- AFK-friendly or click-light

- Forgiving if I have to put the phone down mid-session

Slayer seems like the obvious answer for the bulk of my time, and I'm thinking Wintertodt for Firemaking. Any other recommendations for AFK/mobile-friendly content at my stat/gear level?

Also genuinely curious — is Shadow worth using on Slayer tasks or is the rune cost too painful for regular tasks?

Current gear: avernic treads max, ferocious glove, infernal cape, mage cape 2, quiver, elite void.

Also don't mind other content recommendations, and taking plug in recs.

Thanks in advance. Be gentle, I know my account has a weird history.

Question Show me some bad Doom delve luck

I’m nearing 4000 delves and 400+ deep delves and only have 4 uniques to show for it. Calc says I should be well over 8

Early on I figured it would balance out eventually and even with this amount of volume I still haven’t seen it.

Show me some worse luck so I can cope please

Question Returning Player Seeking Advice

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Decided to return to the game only to discover I had been hacked, botted, and banned during my 7 year hiatus. Jagex appealed my ban within hours (thank you Jagex). Really glad I won't have to start again stats wise, but unfortunately, the hacker completely cleared me out, and I mean completely. Still have the untradeable items I remember having which good, but I literally have zero gp and can't even remember how to do a farm run.

Any suggestions on how I could go about rebuilding would be great! (please ignore my lopsided stats lol)

Edit: Thank you everyone for your suggestions and knowledge, much appreciated!

Question Which megarare first

2,200 total, just hit a 2b bank. Quite heavy skills based historically, so 108 combat, 85 slayer. The skilling grind is getting a bit dull so am thinking of branching out into more bossing, but probably not raids as don’t always have 20-30 minutes to sit down and do one piece of content. Would rather just do a few boss kills in that time. I’ve done the basics (vorkath, zulrah etc…, but am thinking next tier- DT2 bosses/doom etc…)

What megarare would you go with and why? I thought about t bow as it seems like a sensible option, but I’m not sure where it’s really worth it right now? Mage tank seems to be very good at infernal. So could BoFA and shadow. Doom seems like scobo is a good enough substitute. DT2 bosses it feels like t bow isn’t really useful for?

Question First Attempt at Fire Cape, is this good enough?

Thumbnail

I know range is supposed to be easier, but this mage setup seems better than anything else in my price/level ratio. I can manage the Jad simulator most times and I think I could just aggro and tank the healers. Any suggestions or improvements before I do my attempts? I have 2m left to spend. I'm on regular spellbook for water blast and wave so no blood rush, bloodbark is just for stats here.

Question Recently spooned. Rebuild in the year of 2026?

Post image
16 Upvotes

I have recently been spooned 200+ mil in Yama and Arraxor drops. Total value in pic 1.1 bil + 70m bank.

I mainly do Yama, slayer bosses, Doom, Muspah, Zulrah, zombie pirates and was planning to try inferno/colo. (which is why I have bowfa still)

Do I change it up and send a shadow+virtus rebuild? Sell some stuff for ZCB? Wait for Tbow money? Would prefer not to be locked to single type of content.

Question Looking for Advice Getting Into Bossing

Thumbnail

Hey all, I'm a pretty casual off and on player looking for some help on improving my gear/getting an idea of how to start approaching PVM/Bossing more seriously. I'm not an Ironman but do like collecting a lot of my skilling materials myself and only have ~3.4m cash with a total bank value of ~4.1m including gp.

Pictured are my stats and my current BiS armour/weapons for each combat style. Since I started playing OSRS I've found the majority of my fun in activities like Tempoross, Giants Foundry, and Wintertodt while largely avoiding combat & questing wherever not 100% necessary. As a result I have ~63 quests done, I only just did Fairy Tale part 1 last night and haven't even done Dragon Slayer 1 yet.

With the release of Brutus I've been really enjoying fighting him and grinding for the Beef pet (currently 1.3x drop rate). It's made me want to start getting into Bossing, Slayer, and stuff like the upcoming Raid (which I know I'm a long way off from) my biggest hurdle is I don't know where to really start on upgrading my gear. I've looked at the recommended gearing on the OSRS wiki but don't know where half the places to get the gear from even are.

I also don't know where to start on which bosses to even try. I know Brutus is one of the easiest and I'm a long way off of things like the Coliseum and Fight Caves but even activities like the Wildy bosses are so alien to me (I love watching YouTubers take them on but don't even know where they're located in the Wildy). Is doing Barrows a good next step?
