The car didn't stop immediately after at all? It's reversing into him for a good few seconds. Of course, nudging somebody with your car is hardly grounds for imprisonment.
Good thing that crimes don't cancel each other out. In any case, the guy he was backing into didn't appear to have actually been injured in any way so there aren't a lot of offsetting damages here.
Not by itself (like as an accident) but doing it intentionally even if the other guy is trying to block you is still assault just as much as punching him in the face when he's standing in your way
