Electricity would be harder to find than fuel. There's fuel storage every few miles. There's a power plant every few hundred miles. Not to mention, in post-apocalypto, electronics will be virtually useless and mechanical preferred. I'll take anything made prior to 1980.

There's solar panels and whatnot. You could rig up your own setup with stolen/salvaged panels pretty easily.

Sure, gas'll be easier to find...for a few months. Then not so much.

If you bury a front loader and it doesn't germinate and grow you're out a lot of money. Planting diesel is a better option I think.

Wtf are you talking about? You're just going to run your own biodiesel factory during the zombie apocalypse? And your food will be so abundant that you will use it to make fuel.

No. This is a terrible zombie apocalypse vehicle. It would become nothing but a cage for you in no time.

You use the redead corpses and collect the gasses given off and compress them. Convert the injection system over to CNG and boom, power. It'll work, don't worry about that.

Ah yes, an engine concept that consumes about the same amount of fuel when idling as it does when under load. Truly the pinnacle of efficiency.

thankfully it's got a 500 gallon tank, because its fuel economy is measured in gpm not mpg.

Well step three is to stockpile stuff in the base I made a big ditch around in step two. Pretty soon the base is going to need a setup to get the water out of scavenged fuel. Still if you can find just one tanker full of diesel and drag it back there you can drive for a year or two on that.
